Short Path Distillation Unit Operating principle of short path distillation unit (SPDU) is similar to thin film except internal condenser. Here internal condenser is installed inside rotor cage assembly. The feed enters the unit at top and get distributed into a thin film on the inside surface of shell. Heating medium passing through the jacket evaporates volatile component in feed. The vapor generated flow across the rotor and condense on internal condenser. This short path of vapor eliminate pressure drop. hence evaporation can be done at high vacuum as 0.001 mbar. The distilled product and balance bottoms are taken out through separate outlets.

Short path evaporators offer excellent result with evaporation, concentration, distillation or degassing of high-boiling or temperature-sensitive products. AUTOMATIC WATER DISTILLATION EQUIPMENT (CABINET) Compact & User Friendly This is a fully automatic water distillation equipment and can be used in research laboratories, hospitals etc. It is manufactured from 3.3 exp borosilicate glass or quartz glass. The distillation has following features : Replaceable Silica Sheathed (Quartz) Heater : The horizontal jacket is fitted with removable silica sheathed heater and screw threaded connectors for ease of cleaning. Distillate temperature is approx. between 25º to 45º C which is ensured by an efficient condenser. The stand is powder coated for rust free operation and lustrous appearance. Cooling water from the condenser is re-circulated into the boiling chamber, hence saving energy. Screw Threaded Connectors : These are provided for easy plumbing & Installation to avoid any glassware breakage during assembly. Temperature Switch : The boiler is equipped with a safety temperature switch which shuts off the unit if water level in the boiler falls below the heater, thus saving the glass parts from any damages. Level Sensor : It shuts off the distillation equipment if the water level in the boiler falls below the heater. Reservoir Level Sensor : This helps in automatic working of the water distillation equipment. Depending on the water level in the reservoir it will automatically switch On/Off the equipment, thus saving energy.
