Thermo Handy Sampler TEI-HS-171 has been developed to fulfill such kind of monitoring needs. TEI-HS-171 instrument is operate by pump to draw air thorough a suitable absorption solution contained in an impingers (03 impingers can be used in series) to monitor 3 gaseous pollutants. There is an additional provision to determine particulate matter as well by using the open sampling head which takes 37mm diameter filters. Ambient air enters the APM 550 MFC sampler through an omnidirectional inlet designed to provide a clear aerodynamic cut-point for particles larger than 10 microns. The air stream then passes through a WINS Impactor that retains the fraction between PM10 and PM2.5. The PM10 and PM2.5 impactors used in the APM 550 MFC are based on designs standardized by USEPA and as such the system complies with international norms for PM2.5 Samplers. The sampling rate is held constant at 1 m3hr by a mass flow controller. An ambient air temperature sensor and barometric pressure sensor have been provided to automatically compensate for temperature and pressure while reporting flow rate in volumetric flow units. The APM 550MFC has an in-built data logger that records air temperature, filter temperature, flow rate and also totalizes and records the volume of air sampled. A PC based software is provided to download the data for audit. features: PM 10 and PM 2.5 Impactors of sampler based on designs standardized by US EPA. Flow Control based on Mass Flow measurements to remove errors due to pressure, temperature changes (of both ambient air and filter). Auto shut off if flow rate drops significantly below 1 m3hr. High Volume Air Sampler for PM2.5 KDM Global's line of extremely reliable and durable samplers created for capturing particulate matter and gaseous contaminants in ambient air are known as High Volume Air Samplers (HVAS). The High Volume Air Sampler (HVAS) is a piece of equipment used to sample huge amounts of ambient air in order to filter out the particulate matter it contains. Finely divided solids or liquids that are spread in the air from natural sources, industrial operations, or both are referred to as particulate matter. To stop collecting of particles larger than a certain size, a Size Selective Inlet (SSI) is used as a pre-filter. Size Selective Inlet (SSI) PM 2.5 only allows particles with an AED = 2.5 micron diameter to enter the collection medium; particles larger than 2.5 microns are not allowed. Features of the physical design: High Volume Air Samplers, such as the PEV-HVS and PEM- RDS series, PM2.5HVS, are made up of a large blower, a filter to catch suspended particles, and a way to gauge the flow rate. Through the side apertures of the SSI, suspended airborne particles are sampled at sampling rates ranging from 1.1 to 1.6 m3/min and collected on a 203 x 254 mm filter paper.
