The collected electrodes are loaded to the oven for bake. The oven is provided with the following safety measures. The heating elements and the blower motors are electrically interlocked so that unless the motor is switched on the heating cannot be energized. A door limit switch is provided to switch off the heating elements when the oven door is opened. The automatic temperature controller is incorporated with the thermocouple device circuit so that in case of the failure of the thermocouple or its leads, the heater will be switched off. The Electrode Drying Oven GMP-GC-06 is a unique design model which offers complete protection to welding electrodes by preventing deterioration caused by absorption of moisture (due to the electrodes being hygroscopic in nature). This oven with its thermostatic control/energy regulator/digital control could be used as a dual purpose cabinet. If set at a lower temperature it could be used as an electrode storage cabinet, while at a higher temperature it could be used for the recovery of electrodes which might have become wet. The construction is double walled, insulated mild steel cabinet. The oven is duly powder coated and the inner chamber has a heat resistive silver paint with 2� thick high density glass wool insulation in between the walls. Temp.Range : 50oC to 250oC/350oC with an accuracy of ±5oC in thermostatic control and ±1oC for digital control (PID Type). The machine comes in two models; one is cabinet type, while the other is portable type with either square or round model to choose from. If the moisture is excess than the recommended level consistent with the type of flux, the electrodes should be re-dried before use for one hour at 0-250 Deg Celsius, to drive away any absorbed excess moisture from the flux coating. TAKNIK cabinet type drying oven ensures longer life of electrode at store, specially for re – drying the electrode having excess moisture than the consistent capacity of the flux of electrode. It is designed as a cabinet type store containing five self trays of weight 25/50 kgs of electrode (approx.). It has front opening door with lock facility. Normally, any special / low hydrogen electrode should be re – dried for one hour as 150 deg. C to 250 deg.
