Automatic Rescue Device is compatible to all lifts fitted with Induction Motor. Power supply from control panel to motor passes through Automatic Rescue Device. Same safety circuits works both for lift panel as well as ARD. Whenever power fails in between two floors, the car stops. Then ARD starts its operation in the following sequence: 1. It checks whether lift car is at floor level or not. Floor Level switch is closed when the car is not at floor level. 2. Emergency Light in the car puts on 3. It checks the safety circuit. If car door is closed, it starts moving in one direction and check the load. If load is more and can not rotate the motor, it stops and change the direction of the motor. 4. When it reaches the floor level it stops the car. 5. Start power supply 220 volts AC to the door drive along with the door open signal. 6. After about one minute it switch off the emergency light and put the machine in normal mode. When the power resumes, Batteries get charge with a regulated power supply.

Power failure is very often in our country and makes the passenger inside the lift to get panic, if unnoticed for long. Auto Rescue Devices are taken care of the elevator operation during power fail and moves the elevator to the near by floor. Most of the builders especially like Apartments and Hospital are insisting for Rescue unit even for new as well as old lifts. This document gives an overview and technical details of MABARA-Auto Rescue Device here after called as MARD.

The AUTOMATIC RESCUE DEVICE is the safest automatic elevator evacuation device designed for VF Elevators. The Automatic Rescue  relates to a new concept and design and operates the elevator controller at rated voltage to perform the evacuation operation.   Principle of Operation The  Automatic Rescue works on the principle of powering and operating the Elevator Controller at rated Voltage to perform the Rescue operation. The Rescue device interfaces with the ES Drive which has a unique feature of "Low voltage DC operation" to operate the Elevator Motor with Low voltage Battery.   The Automatic Rescue comprises of two-phase space vector modulated inverter and a state of the art high frequency battery charger with four operating modes of charging.   During Mains power ON, it monitors the power and continuously charges the Batteries. In the event of power failure, the Rescue device will activate within the predetermined "response time 8 second” It will be changeable as per requirement of time.  The Powerful Inverter will produce and supply 2-Phase, 400V, sinusoidal power to the Controller. The Controller is now energized with 2-Phase power and will run the Motor as per the controller command direction at low speed and bring the Elevator to the immediate next floor and opens the door automatically. Upon opening the doors, the trapped passengers shall exit and the Rescue will shut down within 9-10 second the Inverter to prevent any further battery drain. When normal power resumes, the Automatic Rescue will automatically switch over the Controller to Normal Operation.
