Ferro Titanium is an alloy with different combination of Iron & Titanium and usually avalbale in the range between Ti: 25 - 75%.It is either produced in Induction Furnace or by Alumino Thermit Prcess. The main raw materials for producing Ferro Titanium is Aluminium Powder, Illemenite Sand & Milli Scale.

Ferro Titanium is used by stainless steel makers as a stabilizer to prevent chromium carbide forming at grain boundaries and in the production of low carbon steels for sheet production. Ferro Titanium is also used in foundries for addition of titanium to the molten metal imparting excellent strength to it without altering other ratios. Various titanium bearing materials are employed in making Ferro Titanium. Major sources include titanium scrap, titanium sponge, ilmenite, leucoxene, rutile. These materials are either reduced by aluminothermic means or melted in induction furnace with iron to produce ferro titanium of various grades and specifications. Various grades are manufactured, the most common being 20-25% Ti for foundries, 35-40% Ti for welding, 70% Ti for stainless steel production.

Ferrotitanium is a ferroalloy, an alloy of iron and titanium with between 10–20 and 45–75% titanium and sometimes a small amount of carbon. It is used in steelmaking as a cleansing agent for iron and steel; the titanium is highly reactive with sulfur, carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen, forming insoluble compounds and sequestering them in slag, and is therefore used for deoxidizing, and sometimes for desulfurization and denitrification. In steelmaking the addition of titanium yields metal with finer grain structure. Ferrotitanium can be manufactured by mixing titanium sponge and scrap with iron and melting them together in an induction furnace.
