Description Ferro Titanium is a ferro alloy that is made of elements, such as titanium and iron, with occasional trace carbon. In the induction furnace, titanium bearing material along with iron or steel is melted to obtain Ferro Titanium. It forms insoluble compounds by reacting with sulfur, carbon, oxygen and nitrogen. This ferro alloy has high strength, low density and good resistance against corrosion. Several titanium bearing materials are titanium scrap, leucoxene, rutile, titanium sponge, ilmenite, etc. Ferro titanium of several grades and specifications are produced ny either melting the titanium bearing material in induction furnace or by aluminothermic method. Different grades can be produced, each has specific applications, for instance: 20-25% Ti is meant to be used in foundries 35-40% Ti for welding 70% Ti for SS production Applications It is used in steel and stainless steel processing units for the production of low carbon steels and as a stabilizer to prevent formation of chromium carbide at grain boundaries. It is used as additives in the production of special steel and flux-cored wire. It finds use in military as well as commercial aircrafts. It is used in products, like varnishes, lacquers and paints. It can be added to the molten metal together with titanium in foundry to impart strength to it without changing other ratios. SPECIFICATION:- Ti : 30-35% / Ti : 68 -72 %

The electric arc carbothermic removal of chromite produces ferrochrome. In South Africa, Kazakhstan and India, which have significant domestic chromite resources, much of the global production is produced. The composition of Ferro chrome (FeCr) is iron and chromium consisting between 70% and 50% of chromium. The largest consumer of this metal is the stainless steel and tool steel. Ferro Chrome is chromium which confers a remarkable corrosion resistance to stainless steel. Application of Ferro Chromium Chromium is one of the most flexible and commonly used alloy elements in steel. It offers corrosion and oxidation resistance, is a mild hardening agent, increases wear resistance and facilitates the preservation of useful intensity at elevated temperatures. Chromium is an irreplaceable part of all stainless steels; in fact, more than 70% of all chromium used in steel making is present in many steels. Building alloy steels, most of which contain less than 3% Cr, are often used in the tonnage use of chromium. Tool steels, super alloys and other specialized metals, while also high in chromium content, are manufactured in smaller amounts and are therefore lower in over-all chromium applications. Chromium is most widely used as ferrochrome. The carbon level is the most significant factor in deciding the price difference between the various ferrochrome grades. The widespread move towards duplex processing practices such as AOD, CLU, etc. has led to a major increase in the use of high-carbon ferrochrome.
