Both ends are tube and the assembly is with ferruleweld nipple. The joint is made by assembly of fittings with ferrule. A weld nipple can be used instead of a ferrule when it is required to join two pipes of an equal size. Tube to tube (equal fittings) : these fittings are generally known as “stud” couplings. Tube to threads (malefemale) : during installation, when a swiwelend is needed to fit with a fixed line, a special swiwel nut is provided which can revolve around the body but will not disengage. Swiwel connections are also available. Tube to swivel : these are used for high pressure applications an provide a 360º rotation facility. These fittings are mainly used for positioning the tube fitting line. The perforated hollow shaped bolts directly on the end pass through the spherical union body for fluid transfer. Banjo fittings : used to connect fittings with instruments. Tmi has a wide range of adaptors with different threads - metric, bsp, bspt, npt. Adaptors : port reducers, closing plugs, ferrules, nuts, o rings, u rings, elastomeric rings. Tmi fittings are available in light series: 4mm-8mm, medium 6mm-42mm and heavy series:6mm-38mm depending on the pipe size. Fittings with weld nipples are available only in heavy series.

Flare-type fittings, were developed as an improvement over pipe fittings many years ago and probably remain the design used most often in hydraulic systems. Tightening the assembly's nut draws the fitting into the flared end of the tubing, resulting in a positive SEA l between the flared tube face and the fitting body. The 37° flare fittings are designed for use with thin-wall to medium-thickness tubing in systems with operating pressures to 3,000 psi.Because thick-wall tubing is difficult to form to produce the flare, it is not recommended for use with flare fittings. The 37° flare fitting is suitable for hydraulic systems operating at temperatures from -65° to 400° F. It is more compact than most other fittings and can easily be adapted to metric tubing. It is readily available and one of the most economical.
