The basic philosophy behind geocomposite materials is to combine the best features of different materials in such a way that specific applications are addressed in the optimal manner and at minimum cost. Thus, the benefitcost ratio is maximized. Such geocomposites will generally be geosynthetic materials, but not always. In some cases it may be more advantageous to use a nonsynthetic material with a geosynthetic one for optimum performance andor least cost.

Geonets, sheet drains, edge drains and prefabricated vertical drains are all designed to offer strong, performance-enhancing alternatives to traditional drainage systems. Geocomposite drainage systems are engineered to minimize costly, conventional graded-aggregate and/or perforated-pipe subsurface drainage systems. Geonets, sheet drains, pavement edge drains and prefabricated vertical drains (PVDs) have reached acceptance as state-of-the-practice because they provide sufficient in-place drainage and offer reduced material cost, installation time, and design complexity over traditional systems.

Our Geocomposites passes thorough a complete process of separation, reinforcement, filtration, drainage, and containment.

We provide our clients with Geo Composites that are designed using a combination of two or more geosynthetics type material, such as geotextile-genet, geotextile-geogrid, geonet-geomembrane or a geosynthetic clay liner (GCL). Plastic drainage core surrounded by a geotextile filters are used to form prefabricated geocomposite drains or prefabricated vertical drains (PVDs). In addition to this, we provide customization as per the specification laid down by the customers.

Conventional granular layer drains can be replaced by higher performing, easier to install, geocomposite alternatives. TERRAM geocomposite drains are created by bonding together textiles, membranes and nets in different combinations to suit a specific application, each layer providing a specific performance or function. The textile layer provides the filter function, allowing liquids and gases to pass into the net core but preventing soil particles from washing into and clogging the core. The membrane layers are used to provide the barrier function and prevent the passage of liquids and the majority of gases.

A geocomposite consists of a combination of geotextile and geogrid; or geogrid and gromembrane; or geotextile, geogrid, and geomembrane; or any one of these three materials with another material (e.g., deformed plastic sheets, steel cables, or steel anchors).

The Transnet is available as a geocomposite, that is Transnet geonet bonded with a non-woven geotextile. The primary purpose of this material is as a filter media for leachate solutions. The fabric acts as the filter for the migrating fluid and only allows liquids to enter and be carried by the geonet. We select only high quality polypropylene geotextiles to be used in the manufacturing of our geocomposites. These geotextiles are available in various weights and can be laminated in either a single or double-sided configuration. The final product is based upon what you the customer require in your engineered applications.
