Guar gum comes from guar seeds, which are husked and processed in order to obtain the guar gum. The majority of guar seeds are grown in India and Pakistan but can also be found in smaller amounts in the United States, China, Australia and Africa. The guar plant is resistant to drought and has the ability to grow in dry climates where plant life is difficult to grow. the tender green Guar is also used as a vegetable and cattle feed. A severe locust bean gum shortage, just after the second world war, adversely affected the paper and textile industries. Guar Gum was found to be the most suitable substitute for scarce locust bean gum.

The plant has been configured and designed in such a way that minimum work force will require. The guar split will be fed in to the pneumatic system to feed in to the turbo screen. The turbo screen is suggested at the high of plant. The screening will be employed for the removal of foreign matter. This screened material will be stored in a storage hopper. The guar splits will fall from the screens by gravity to the storage hopper, which is configured below the screen. From storage hopper material can be taken in to double cone mixer as and when required by gravity for the rehydrating of guar splits. Ultrafine grinder is proposed for the grinding of crushed guar splits. This grinder has ability to grind the material without generating too much heat. Material will be fed into the dryer. Oil will be the media to convey the heat and deliver to the air. This hot air will take the material into the dryer line where actual drying will take place. Attached cyclone system will separate the material and hot air. To heat the oil Thermal boiler will be used.

Cyamopsis tetragonolobus and psoralioides are the botanical forms of Guar plant whose seeds are processed to separate the endosperm from which Guar gum is obtained. These are leguminous plants and suitable for growing in all seasons including rainy season or in hot summer so, it is called annual plant. It is extracted from the endosperm of these seeds contains carbohydrate with high molecular weight. And this type of crop can be cultivated with good productivity in sandy soils. It is applied for its thickening property and this remains the main application of this product. The presence of edible carbohydrate polymer makes it suitable for adding as a reagent in hydrogen and mineral bonding and even in cellulosic surfaces. Guar gum powder is fine in texture and it stays white in color. Apart from that it is also coarse, ironic and free flowing in nature. This powder contains excellent thickening capacity and can show thickening property eight times higher than that of the thickening capacity of corn starch. For the same reason, it is extensively used in food processing applications. In addition, it is also used as an effective ingredient in milk products, baking mixes, dressings. Commercial and industrial usage includes applications in textile, paper manufacturing, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and printing.

The oversize will be screened through another turbo screen to separate another grade. Oversize will be passed through another grinder.

Guar Gum Refined Split is refined form of guar gum plant endosperm derived from guar seed or cluster bean. Guar beans are harvested and dried following the growing season. The beans are shelled from the pods, the germ and hull removed. The resulting splits are wet-milled into powder; the powder is graded by granulation and quality. Products are re-blended according to specification, bagged and marked.

Guar gum is derived from the ground endosperm of the guar plant. This ia a hardy and drought- resistant plant which grows 1-2m high with vertical stalks. The seed pods grow in clusters on the vertical stalks. The pods are about 15 cm. long and six to nine seeds about 2-3 mm. in diameter.
