We are proud to be one of the famed Manufacturers and Suppliers of Heat Strengthened Glass in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This glass is preferred over annealed glass of similar thickness and configuration due to its high strength and more resistance to external stresses. Our Toughened Safety Glass is widely used because of additional strength. At our well-developed fabrication unit, Heat Treated Glass is designed in varied specifications using high-performance machinery. Owing to their sturdiness and resistance to mechanical and thermal stress, they are high on demand in the market. Production Process : Heat Strengthened Glass is produced in the same manner as toughened safety glass except that the cooling process is slower. During heat strengthening, annealed glass is reheated to a high temperature, and then cooled quickly in a process called “quenching” the resulting heat-strengthened glass is twice as strong as annealed glass of equal thickness and offers significantly greater resistance to wind loads, impacts, and thermal loads. The first step in the heat- strengthening process is cleaning annealed glass and cutting to size. Then it is placed in a furnace and heated to approximately 715oC. The glass is then air- cooled to create a balanced condition of stress within the glass itself, making it more resistant to external stresses. Heat strengthening does not result in a “safety glass product; heat-strengthened glass breaks in a pattern similar to annealed glass. Highlights : Heat Strengthened Glass is generally twice as strong as annealed glass but still has more resistance to heat fracture and is subject to greater wind load than annealed glass. Heat strengthened float glass on its own is not a safety glass but can be laminated to meet requirements. When Heat Strengthened Glass breaks, it fragments into larger pieces and tends to stay intact in an opening until replaced. This is particularly useful in high rice spandrel and above ground floor panels because the fragments do not fall into the ground below. Like toughened glass, it cannot be cut, drilled or edge worked. Less visual distortion is also evident when compared to toughened glass. Heat-strengthened products form ORO Tuff are perfect for many commercial applications include spandrels, windows in high wind load areas, and applications where the glass is expected to develop high thermal stresses.

Heat strengthened glass is similar to tempered glass except that the cooling is done at a much slower pace. Annealed glass is heated to approximately 650-700 º C, but the cooling process is slower than that for tempered glass. Heat strengthened glass is about twice as strong as annealed glass of the same size and thickness. Heat strengthened glass is a semi tempered glass which retains the normal properties of ordinary float glass. Heat Strengthened glass has been strengthened thermally by inducing a surface compression of 6000 to 9000 psi as compared to a range of 11000 to 20000 psi in case of fully tempered glass. Heat strengthening adds strength to the glass while limiting the change in its breakage characteristics. The cooling process places the surfaces of the glass in a state of high compression and the central core in a state of compensating tension.

FUSO Heat Strengthened Glass is a type of a Tempered Glass / Toughened Glass which is valued as it retains the normal properties of annealed glass including chemical resistance, hardness expansion and deflection but with the exceptional strength & breakage characteristics. FUSO Heat Strengthened Glass is made by evenly heating float glass to approximately 650 degree C. the ceramic roller transmits glass at a lower speed to ensure an even temperature and optical performance. Benefits Double Strengthened - FUSO Heat Strengthened Glass wind pressure resistance is at least twice that of annealed glass of the same thickness. Thermal Cracking Resistance - FUSO Heat Strengthened Glass will resist temperatures of up to approximately 250 C. In a range frm -20 C to 300 C. Fallout Prevention - As heat strengthened glass breaks in a manner similar to that of float glass, the fragments tends to remain in the sashes, having less probability of fallout as compared to Tempered Glass / Toughened Glass. In compared with Tempered Glass / Toughened Glass, heat strengthened glass is not easily broken spontaneously. Optical Clarity - Heat Strengthened glass has less distortions than ordinary Tempered Glass / Toughened Glass.

Heat strengthened glass, due to the special process it goes through, has high impact and shock resistance properties and is at least two times stronger than annealed glass. Due to its medium tensile strength it is very safe as it does not fall from its frame even if it breaks, making it ideal for use in glazing. It is also capable of withstanding temperature differences up to 20 degree Celsius on its surface. While its medium surface stress makes it resistant to scratches, sudden impacts, shocks and wind pressure during storms. Heat strengthened glass is very popular among the professional designers due to all these properties.

Heat Strengthened Glass is produced from annealed glass using lower air quenching pressure. The sudden cooling causes compression on glass surface and the edges and remaining part develops stress zones. For a heat strengthened 6 mm thick glass minimum surface compression is 4000-7000 psi. On breaking the Heat Strengthened Glass breaks in to sharp long pieces. It is twice stronger than the annealed glass. However it can not be used where human safety is concerned until combined with the lamination process of the glass.

Heat Strengthened glass follows almost the same process as tempered glass, except that the annealed glass is heated to a slightly lower temperature of 620°C and the volume and pressure of cooling process is less rapid.   Benefits The break pattern is large and the fragments tend to remain in the glazing. It is less prone to spontaneous breakage and provides better optics. Applications Spandrel and vision panels of curtain wall glass.

This glass is often called HS Glass and its’ process is almost same except that cooling is done at a much slower pace. The surface and edge stress also differs from Tempered Glass. The other difference is when this glass breaks the fragmentation is quite large similar to breaking pattern of Annealed Glass. H S Glass is 2 times stronger than Annealed Glass. Distinguished Properties: STRONG HS Glass is 2 times stronger than Annealed Glass but if it breaks, it breaks in to large shards.

Heat-strengthened glass is a semi-tempered glass which retains the normal properties of ordinary float glass. It is similar to tempered glass except that the cooling is done slower than toughened glass but faster than annealed glass. The heat strengthening process is similar to that of toughened glass but with lower levels of surface compression, resulting from a lower cooling quench. Heat Strengthened Glass has a mechanical strength of about twice that of annealed glass and if broken, breaks into large pieces from edge to edge and does not fracture into small fragments like toughened glass. This breakage characteristic allows the glass to remain in the window frame as the large pieces support each other in the opening. Heat Strengthened Glass also has high thermal strength like toughened glass and is resistant to thermal stress breakage associated with high performance tinted, reflective, and/or Insulating Glass Units. Heat Strengthened Glass also provides resistance to thermal breakage caused by heat build-up in spandrel situations and the probability of nickel sulfide inclusions inducing spontaneous breakages in heat strengthened glass is practically non-existent. Heat Strengthened Glass is often used in laminated glass, as it allows better interlayer adhesion than toughened glass due to the flatter nature of the heat strengthened product. This flatter finish also results in less optical distortion in building façades. In addition it has excellent breakage characteristics and prevents fallout and collapse. As a result of the reasons above, heat strengthened glass is often used in curtain wall façades of buildings, in both the vision and spandrel applications. However, in some situations Heat Strengthened Glass is not suitable. For example; where safety glass is required in human impact safety situations, for mechanical fixing or for higher strength requirements. In these situations Toughened Safety Glass is recommended.   Heat-treated glass is used in a wide range of applications including: Patio and Storm Doors Entrance Doors and Sidelites Tub and Shower Enclosures Commercial/Residential Fixed and Operable Windows Displays Partitions Storefronts Handrails
