General Qualities & Characteristics Mex Therm Oils are mineral oil type heat transfer oil for use in indirect or secondary heating systems. In such systems, fuel oil, gas or electricity is used to heat fluid, which then transfers the heat to the point of application. Mex Therm oils are manufactured from selected refined paraffinic oil to give excellent resistance to thermal cracking and chemical oxidation. In addition, they are noncorrosive, nontoxic, have a very low odor level and have no detrimental effect on selected seals. These oils are designed for use in closed, forced circulation systems equipped with expansion tanks.   APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS : Mex Therm Oils, can be used upto a bulk oil temperature of 315 °C and will stand skin temperatures upto 315 °C to 317 °C. Mex Therm have high specific heat and thermal conductivity at all temperatures and, therefore, will give rapid heating and flexibility in a system. The characteristic of these products make them ideal where high heat transfer rates combined with high flow rates are desired.
