High alumina binders are special cements that contain very high percentage of alumina (70-80%). These cements also contain high purity hydraulic bonding agents that help them to give controlled setting times. These cements also have very high compressive strength. The castable made using Lumicem develops high crushing strength and abrasion resistance.Lumicem is equivalent to Calandum, Cement Fondu, Luminite, Istra and other Alumina refractory binders available in the market internationally.
