Clean Oil is necessary to get good performance from your machines equipments. Contaminations in oil are responsible for breakdown, losses and replacement of the oil. Conventional methods of oil purification, viz: filtration, centrifuge and straining, are incapable of adequately cleaning oil, as they remove particles only above 5 microns in size. These remaining small size particles cause high contamination and therefore require regular changing of oil. The electrostatic cleaning presents a far superior and highly effective method of purifying hydraulic oil. Contaminants caused due to dust, abrasive metallic particles, oxidation, sludge and fine water are removed by this method. Oil cleaned by this method meets NAS class 45 requirements. (National Aerospace Standards 1638)

Contaminants in oil are either positively or negatively charged due to the contact potential difference with oil. When oil is passed through an electric field, positively charged particles are drawn to the negative pole and vice versa.Neutral contaminants are drawn and deposited by gradient force to the edge of the die electric media where the intensity of the deformed electric field is highest.When corrugated die electric media (collectors) are inserted between electrodes, the electric field is deformed and die electric polarisation occurs at the tips of the corrugation. The electric field is the strongest at the tips and particles are drawn and deposited on opposite electric poles and removed from oil.

The lube oil filtration machine is used for purifying the various types of turbine and hydraulic oil used in the machines of the power plant viz Turbine, Generators etc. This machine conditions Lube oil of grade ISO – VG – 46 & ISO –VG – 68 and enhance the parameters of water content from 2000 ppm to 5 ppm and separates (removes) the free water, sludge and carbon from Lube oil. This machine mainly consists of two parts. Centrifuge Degassing and vacuum system This lube oil filtration machine is used for purifying the hydraulic oil grade ISO – VG - 46 used to clean the power packs. For testing power packs fresh hydraulic oil is required in every cycle with particle cleanliness level as NAS 1638 class 5 ISO 4406 1411 and water content less than 50 ppm. This machine consists of 3 stage filtration of 50, 5 and 1 micron filters with heating and degassing vacuum system.
