INTRODUCTION:Hydraulic Ram, also called as HYDRAM, is a type of pump in which energy of large quantity of water falling a through a small height is utilized to lift small quantity of water through greater height. Here no external power is required. Such a system is used in remote areas where large quantity of water at low height is available, and where power is scare. SPECIFICATION:This is a demonstration type model. The hydraulic ram consists of a valve chamber. The valve chamber contains a waste water valve and delivery valve.Water to chamber is supplied from an overhead tank and delivered through a pipe of comparatively small diameter at a height above the height of overhead tank.
