A KINECHEK precisely regulates the speed or feed rate of moving devices. The hardened tool steel high pressure cylinder used in a KINECHEK has a single adjustable orifice through which all the fluid must be metered. The cylinder is precision mated to an all-metal piston (no sliding seal). This makes the plunger rod on a KINECHEK move smoothly at a constant rate throughout the entire stroke length. KINECHEKs are available in stroke lengths of 13mm, 25mm, 32mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, and 150mm with capacity of up to 1200 lbs. (400 kgs).

Typically found in dynamic applications, such as aircraft landing gear systems, Stratoflex flow regulators allow for rapid actions, such as gear retraction, while minimizing dynamic forces to reduce structural strain. As fluid passes through the valve in the regulated direction, sets of predetermined pressure drops and springs exert pressure and counter-pressure on a precisely engineered piston in a throttling action that increases or decreases the flow velocity. As a result of the piston’s movement, only the correct rate of flow is permitted to pass through the regulator which provides a constant upstream or downstream pressure, depending on application.
