Phenolic resin bonded cotton fabric laminates are used where mechanical strength, wear resistance and resilience are more important than electrical insulation. Typical applications of fabric laminates are gears, textile shuttles, bearings, pickers, bushes and marine application. Different grades are offered to suit specific applications.

These rods are made of coarse cotton cloth impregnated with phenollic resin by processing under heat and pressure. It has good electric & mechanical properties. It has high temperature resistance. It has excellent machinability.it is widely used for making bearings, bushes, gears, rollers, drilling jigs, underwater bearings etc. These rods are available from 8mm to 200mm diameter in 1mtr length.

Phenolic sheet is a hard, dense material made by applying heat and pressure to layers of paper or glass cloth impregnated with synthetic resin. These layers of laminations are usually of cellulose paper, cotton fabrics, synthetic yarn fabrics, glass fabrics, or unwoven fabrics. When heat and pressure are applied to the layers a chemical reaction ( polymerization) transforms the layers into a high pressure thermosetting industrial laminated plastic.
