Contact us if you would like to place an order.   Details : Lamella settlers are basically cross flow plate separators designed for removal of settleable solids.The water containing solids flows in a horizontal direction between the closely spaced plates in the plate pack. Completely laminar flow conditions are established while water flows across the plate pack from inlet to the outlet side. Solids with the higher density than the carrier fluid will settle down into the sludge Compartment of the seprator, which is a sloped compartment to facilitate removal of the solid particles. The number and size of the plate is governed by the water flow rate and the settling velocity of the solid, which in turn are proportional to the diameter of the solids to be settled. The distance between the plates is depending upon the concentration of the solids Sludge in the raw water. The plate distance can be varied, usually between 20 and 50mm, to allow for the different sizes of the settling particles, and to prevent clogging of the plate packs.The systems are fabricated in the mild steel and other materials are available on request.All K-Pack separators are custom built with respect to the number of plates in the pack,the length of the plate distance between the plate and the plate incline. The incline of the plate is set between 45 and 60 degrees depending upon the general nature of the oil and/or the sludge.(density ,velocity ,concentration). A lamella clarifier (inclined-plate clarifier) is designed to remove particulates from liquids. They are often employed in primary water treatment in place of conventional settling tanks. They are used in industrial water treatment. Unlike conventional clarifiers they use a series of inclined plates. These inclined plates provide a large effective settling area for a small footprint . The inlet stream is stilled upon entry into the clarifier. Solid particles begin to settle on the plates and begin to accumulate in collection hoppers at the bottom of the clarifier unit. The sludge is drawn off at the bottom of these hoppers and the clarified liquid exits the unit at the top by weir.

Lamella Clarifier is primarily used in the water and wastewater treatment industries to separate solids from liquids in effluent streams. The clarifier is the third step in what is usually a four step process for water and wastewater treatment. In wastewater treatment the four main steps are collection and homogenization of effluent, pH adjustment, clarification and sludge dewatering.Conventional clarification equipment requires a much larger surface footprint in order to match the solids removal capacity of a Lamella Clarifier. This is accomplished because the effective gravity settling area of the inclined plate design is proportional to the total surface area of the inclined plate rack. Loading rates normally used for the design of conventional settlers can be applied to the sizing of a Lamella clarifier or settler by substituting projected area for the surface settling area of a conventional clarifier.The compact design of this Lamella Clarifier essentially eliminates any hydraulic disturbances caused by wind or temperature changes that may be problematic with conventional clarifiers located outdoors. Balanced flow distribution ensures equal flow to each plate and across the plate surface area, preventing short-circuiting. Units and plate packs arrive at the job site factory assembled which reduces installation time while cutting down the installation costs. Minimal moving parts mean low maintenance costs.Operating Principle : Our Lamella Clarifier with a series of inclined plates are arranged to form a separate sedimentation chamber between adjacent plates. Raw water is first fed to Static Mixer and chemicals such as alum, poly electrolyte are added prior to static mixer for proper mixing of chemicals in water. Water from static mixer enters in Flocculator in which paddle type agitator is provided for gentle mixing. Polymer is added for flocculation of coagulated particles.
