These gaskets are used in different industrial applications such as in compressors, marine engineering, diesel and petrol engines, boilers etc. The temperature of application ranges from 100 °C (212 °F) to 600 °C (1112 °F). The pressure of application ranges from 10 bars (10.19 kg/cm2) to 150 bars (152.96 kg/cm2). These gaskets are capable of catering to the distortions between the flanges. They compress in the imperfections of the flanges to create initial seal on application of sealing force.
