The DSL-340 Dust Monitor uses the innovative Dynamic Detection Principle (DDP) to measure dust, smoke and particulate concentration present in an exhaust gas flow in a duct, stack or flue. A light beam emitted from the Transceiver (TRX) passes across the duct, stack or flue to a Reflector, which returns the light beam to the TRX. Particles moving through the beam will cause fluctuations in the intensity of light received by the TRX. Diesel smoke meter OPACIO 100 is used to measure the diesel engine exhaust smoke.The model is equipped with a Gas temperature pressure valve and distribution control cell in order to ensure measuring accuracy and repeatibilty.It can measure the complete opacity spectrum from 0 to 100 % in either continous or free acceleration test.

The dust concentration is measured depending upon the amount of light blocked by suspended articles in exhaust gas. Advanced techniques are effectively used to detect & compensate for errors due to ambient light as well as stationary dust giving accurate emission readings. Unique design of Swirling Chamber ensures effective cleaning of lenses.
