PIE GAUGE.Dimensions: Thickness based on customer requirements.Description: The pie gauge consists of a highly permeable disc that has non-ferromagnetic material dividing it into four, six, or eight parts. The divisions act as manufactured flaws that project outward from the core in various directions. The gauge's diameter ranges from 3/4 to 1 inches. The low carbon steel pie portions must have partitions no wider than 1/32 inch. The parts are copper-plated and furnace brazed. The test piece is magnetised and the gauge is placed on it copper side up. The inspector can determine the magnetic field's orientation using the indications after applying the particles and removing the surplus.Dry powder is utilised with flat surfaces like weldments or steel castings as the primary use.Material : Carbon steel.

The Pie Gauge/Pie Filed Indicator is a tool for quickly verifying the direction of magnetic flux on a surface. It is made from eight ferrous segments, braised into a single piece, providing a star pattern of nonferrous discontinuities. Typically used with dry powders for yoke inspection, the Pie Gauge can be held at any angle and will generate indications perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic flux.
