Chopper Action Single or multiple choppers are located in the lower part of the mixing container in such a way that the chopper assembly is inserted into the wall of the container at points in between the flights of two adjacent mixing shovels. The high-speed choppers remove lumps in the raw material, chop pasty additives and prevent formation of agglomerates on liquid addition. Ploughs mixer:- ploughs shovels tools rotate as mixing elements in special arrangement on the mixing shaft in a horizontal, cylindrical drum. The size, number and positioning, geometric shape and peripheral speed of the mixing elements are coordinated in such a way that they produce a three-dimensional movement of the components. The resultant turbulence in the mix, whereby all products are constantly involved in the mixing process, ensures high speed, precision mixing. The mixing elements are specially shaped to lift product from the wall to prevent particles from being squashed. In some cases additional assistance for the mixing elements to obtain the desired mixing effect is required. Separately driven, high-speed choppers can be installed to disperse agglomerations and control granulation during the mixing process in coordination with the mixing elements.
