Spark Emission Spectrometers are being increasingly used in refining industry for internal production control and analysis of Pure Gold. The technique is a very straight forward and easy to use. A sample, taken from the molten metal is prepared using a lathe machine to make one surface flat and then it is directly placed on the spark stand of the instrument and analysis of all calibrated elements of interest is available in 30 to 60 secs.
