Banking on the stores of industrial knowledge, we strive to deliver perfection to our customers. We, as a Manufacturer, Supplier and Exporter of Pour Point Depressant, offer a diverse selection. It is popular among our customers for its accurate composition and long shelf life at economical rates. To maintain the quality that we’re renowned for, we procure raw materials from the vendors who are able to deliver immaculate quality on a consistent basis. Details : These additives are polymers designed to interfere in the wax crystallization process, thus modifying the crystal structure of the paraffin present in the crude oil. The change in the crystal shape diminishes the ability of waxy aggregates to inter grow and inter lock, resulting in lowering the pour point of the crude.

Pour point depressants (PPDs) have several technical specifications, including: Appearance: Clear, homogeneous liquid with no separation Specific gravity at 30°C: 0.900–0.920 Kinematic viscosity at 100°C, cSt: 60–190 Flash point, °C: 150 minimum Miscibility/homogeneity in oil: Should be clear and homogeneous after standing for 24 hours and after centrifuging at 1450 rpm for 5 minutes Low temperature stability: Should be clear and homogeneous after keeping at the pour point of the blend for 24 hours and after thawing to ambient temperature PPDs work by modifying the interface between the crystallized wax and the oil, allowing the oil to remain pumpable. Some common PPDs include polyalkylnaphthalene, polyalkyphenyl esters, or polyalkylmethacrylate. Most PPDs are solid or waxy at room temperature and need to be warmed up before use. Fluid PPDs that are pumpable at ambient temperatures are also available.

There are significant financial incentives for working with heavier petroleum streams, including heavier crudes being produced and transported by pipeline, topped crudes with light ends removed or heavy petroleum fractions, which result from refinery processing. However, high viscosity, high pour point material possesses significant risk for pipeline plugging when moved into and out of storage. A pour point depressant can help mitigate that risk by ensuring pumpability, allowing heavier material to be moved and stored while decreasing or eliminating the use of cutter stocks.

TAP-6565 is a broad range pour point depressant for neutral paraffinic mineral base oils as well as for reclaimed base oils including variety of paraffinic base oils. It is basically Alkyl Methyl Methacrylate type polymer specially designed controlling polymerisation reactions so as to get narrow range molecular weight distribution which is required for meeting broad spectrum performance for low temperature performance like Brookfield viscosity, Cold crankcase simulator test & Mini rotary viscometer test in mineral base oils. It is compatible with most conventional OCP, PIB & PMA type V.I. improvers.Characteristics Test results Appearance Bright & Clear Yellow liquid Colour, ASTM, max. ≤ 2.0 Viscosity Cst @ 100°c 120-170 Sp. Features It is a combination of Pour Point Depressantand paraffin dispersant for Crude Oil & residues.Application51 Pour Point Depressant should be applied to oil above its cloud point continuously into the crude at a rate of 100 ~ 1000 ppm to achieve the required pour point specifications. Dosage upto 2000 ppm or more may be required to lower the pour point of the crude to the desirable level. The recommended treat rate should be determined by pour point testing on fresh crude oil. The dosages are very much dependent on the characteristics of the oil and of the production system. It is advisable to contact our Technical Representative for evaluation ofthe system prior to application of the PPD.Safety/ Packing51 Pour Point Depressant is highly flammable Liquid. It is available in 200 liter drums and in bulk packing on special request. Safe Handling of 51 Pour Point Depressant is recommended in MSDS which is available on request.

The effect is a better flow behavior and a depression of the pour point. Viscosimetry and flow simulation in test loops are performed by us to design the appropriate pour point depressant. It prevents the growth of inter-locking wax crystals and enables oil to be pumped below its normal pour point. It is soluble in crude oil and common aromatic solvents. It has no adverse effect on the quality of resultant distillate and residues. These are being manufactured in-house with dedicated state of art manufacturing facilities.

The waxes present in most crude oils include n-alkanes, iso-alkanes, alkyl cyclic compounds and alkyl aromatics. In most crude n-Alkanes are the predominant species. The amount and distribution of these n-Alkanes is crude specific. Short-branched chains are the next most common. These have a significant impact on wax deposition characteristics. The wax appearance temperature (WAT) is the temperature at which, on a cooling cycle, the crude oil first precipitates solid wax. This is arguably the single most important characteristic in examining wax deposition potential in crude oil. The deposition of wax leads to several problems in reduced production and impaired flow assurance. Severe deposition can lead to loss of production and pipeline blockage etc.
