The process operates by using two columns filled with adsorbent, a molecular sieve. Clean & dry compressed air enters the first column, unwanted molecules are being trapped while the product gas is allowed to pass through. When the active column is saturated, the airflow is redirected to the second column. The saturated column depressurizes allowing the molecular sieve to completely regenerate. Nitrogen Generators Are Designed To Produce High Purity Nitrogen By Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Technology.   The Pre-treated Air Is Passes Into A Vessel Filled With Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) Where The Oxygen Is Adsorbed Preferentially In The CMS Pores, So That Nitrogen Comes Out As A Product Gas.   In This Process One Vessel Is In Process And Simultaneously Second Goes In Regeneration. Adsorption And Desorption Take Place Alternately At Equal Time Intervals. This Means That The Continuous Generation Of Nitrogen Can Be Achieved And Can Be Stored In To Nitrogen Reservoir.

PSA ( Pressure Swing Adsorption) Technology a revolution in Non Cryogenic Air Separation and Oxygen Generation Technology uses special grade of ZMS ( Zeolite Molecular Sieve). The compressed air is passed through a Twin Tower PSA module interconnected with automatic changeover valves. After passing through a Refrigerated Dryer air gets dried. Dried compressed air will now come in contact with bed of Zeolite molecular sieves (ZMS). Zeolite Molecular Sieves are special grade of adsorbant which have the property of preferential adsorption of nitrogen molecules. At a time one tower remains under nitrogen production cycle, whereas the other tower undergoes regeneration which is achieved through depressurization of the tower to atmospheric pressure. The outgoing oxygen gas is sent to a surge vessel where the minimum pressure will be maintained with the help of Back pressure Regulator

Working Pressure Swing Adsorbtion Systems - Air is passed under pressure through vessel containing an adsorbent bed of Carbon Molecular Sieve that adsorb oxygen leaving Nitrogen to go through, part or all of the oxygen will stay in the bed, and the gas coming out of the vessel will be enriched in nitrogen. When the bed reaches the end of its capacity to adsorb nitrogen, it is then regenerated by reducing the pressure, thereby releasing the adsorbed oxygen. It is now ready for another cycle of producing nitrogen. PSA method is recommended for higher purities and customers typically recover their investment cost in as little as 1 year.
