Sling Psychrometer, offered by us, meets the globe program protocols for relative humidity. Safe and easy to use, this Sling Psychrometer allows for easy conversion of wet and dry bulb readings to relative humidity. It eliminates the need for conversion tables for measuring relative humidity. Our Sling Psychrometer comes in a durable plastic case and features a slide rule, and a red spirit thermometer.

The bulb of one of the thermometers is covered with thin muslin which is moistened with distilled water before use . The thermometers are suspended in the frame with their bulbs surrounded by two thin coaxial metal tubes which are chromium plated and highly polished , they are thermally insulated from the rest of the frame by retaining pieces and protect the bulbs from the effects of exposure of solar radiation . The tubes may be removed from the frame by unscrewing the retaining pieces. Ventilation of the bulbs is provided by the fan driven by the clock work mechanism encased in the housing at the top,air being drawn past the bulbs and up the hollow central column.

Psychrometer in glass thermometers of Prismatic capillary range: +20 °F to 120° F or -5°C to 50°C mounted side by side in a wooden frame which is provided with a handle and spindle, so that the frame with thermometers can be rotated quickly about a horizontal axis. The bulb of one of the thermometer is - covered by a closely fitting cylindrical cotton wick, the end of which dips in small water container attached to the end of the frame.

This psychrometer has long been used as the standard wet & dry bulb psychrometer capable of measuring highly accurate humidity. Humidity of air can be precisely measured by this instrument. Two insulated type thermometers, as wet and dry bulbs, are located. By spring-wound, air movement is forced past the bulbs at a rate of about 3.5m/s to 6 m/s to ensure proper ventilation.
