This conveyor is used where the conveyed material is required to be discharged at number of points but one after another, because it can be affected only at a time. Depending upon the overall length of the conveyor and its structure, quantum of load that the conveyor carries there may be a one / two / three sets of driving wheels which are driven by electric motor and gear box. Shuttle conveyor will be required to fill different bunker; to feed different conveyors; to divert the material from one part to another part of the plant.
