Model 2020 Thermal Conductivity Analyzer is a versatile, explosion-proof, microprocessor-based instrument for measuring binary mixtures of gases. Thermal conductivity gas analyzer is a gas analyzer whichquantitatively measures gas concentration by utilizing a causalrelationship that the temperature of a heated platinum wirechanges with gas concentration.

The C-Therm TCi Thermal Conductivity Analyzer employs the Modified Transient Plane Source (MTPS) technique in characterizing the thermal conductivity and effusivity of materials. It employs a one-sided, interfacial heat reflectance sensor that applies a momentary constant heat source to the sample. Typically, the measurement pulse is between 1 to 3 seconds. Thermal conductivity and effusivity are measured directly, providing a detailed overview of the heat transfer properties of the sample material.

This system can be used to analyse Thermal Conductivity of Solids, Powders, Pastes or Thin Films This system works out of Hot Wire Method (Transient Hot Wire Method). While the 710 model can also analyse Thin Film the model 700 cannot. Both models would have a 5.7 inch colour LCD display and would have a two-channel RS-232C interface and a USB 2 channel output also. There are many probes to choose from like Box type proble PD-11N, Insulated Moisture-proof probe PD-13N, High Temperature probe PD-31N etc. The probe PD-31N can work from -100 to 1000 Deg C. The Thin film in 710 would be analysed in either a Box type probe or an Insulated Moisture-Proof probe.

Designed to detect a specific impurity in a binary gas mixture, the 212R is also well suited for monitoring one component in more complex mixtures where the other gases have the same ratio to each other or have similar thermal conductivity coefficients.
