A unique electronic zeroing system ensures that the correct weight is achieved for each axle and that zero adjustment between weighing is not required. It does not require any large foundation and can be installed in a small compacted pit ensuring speedy installation at a very low cost. The In-Motion Scale uses a fully welded steel structure contained within a single framework. This rugged platform is supported by four DESB-DBA Series Load Cells to weigh each axle end of a vehicle as it travels across the scale. The weighing platform is approximately 3000mm in width and 750mm in length and is constructed of smooth finish HT grade steel plate. The welded steel structure is designed with performance and longevity in mind.The extremely stiff and rigid weighbridge, coupled with four 20,000 kg capacity load cells, results in a higher resonant frequency allowing more efficient filtering of spurious weight signals.

Weigh-in-motion or weighing in motion (wim) devices are designed to capture and record axle weights and gross man-roadvehicle weights as vehicles drive over a measurement site. Unlike static scales, wim systems are capable of measuring vehicles traveling at a reduced or normal traffic speed and do not require the vehicle to come to a stop. This makes the weighing process more efficient, and, in the case of commercial vehicles, allows for trucks under the weight limit to bypass static scales or inspection.
