The sample is held between two jaws, the Upper one is a stationary jaw while the other is made to move at a preset speed with the help of special geared motor and advanced programmable electronic drive ( speed can be variable from 50 to 400 mm per minute). The load exerted on the movable jaw is sensed by a sensitive sensor connected with load cell which directly indicates the load in digital form ink gf. The result of elongation is indicated directly in digital form (mm) with the help of optical sensor. The equipment has an in-built provision for safety arrangement. It has a provision to prevent over travel of the moving jaw.
