Westland is a world renowned manufacturer of incinerators for all types of waste. We understand that various hazardous, biochemical and biomedical waste have become a threatening problem to the natural environment, in order to protect the environment from these hazardous wastes, we build reliable Incineration systems. We design and install these systems as per customers' requirements. Encon - Westland is proud to be associated with Alberta Research Council (ARC), CANADA. They conducted waste incineration research in support of formulation and enforcement of regulatory standards, with emphasis on promoting complete combustion. It has the expertise in incinerator design and operations together we worked towards developing an appropriate technology to meet the criteria of simplicity in design, manufacture, operation and maintenance to reduce capital and operating costs, and robustness to process a wide variety of wastes and to consistently meet strict environmental standards. This partnership started in 2004 and has produced continuous improvements in the design and operation of the system, starting from a manually operated prototype that served as a basis for a simple yet effective control system to one that incorporates energy recovery and a "fine polishing" emission control system that ensures meeting the most stringent air emission standards.

These furnaces are capable of operating at temperature upto 1000 Deg.C. The items to be heat treated are charged into the furnaces on trays and the loaded trays are pushed into the furnace one by one. After heating and soaking, the material comes out of the furnace and removed from the platform. These furnaces are suitable for normalising, stress relieving and other heating process of various types of components. The oil consumption is 60-65 ltrstonne when steel forgings are normalised or hardened.

We undertake design, engineering, manufacture erection and commissioning of various types of industrial furnaces (Oil - Fired, Gas fired and electric) and cater to the variegated requirements of Rolling Mills, Forging Plants, Heat Treatment Centres, Aluminium Plants, Steel Casting Plants and Stainless Steel Processing Industries. More than 1000 ENCON FURNACES of various designs and capacities are operating satisfactorily in Industrial Plants spread all over IndiaAbroad. We have exported several furnaces and Ladle preheating systems to our customers in Azerbaijan, Jordan, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, U.A.E, Uganda Indonesia and Bangladesh etc.

ENCON make Pusher Type Billet Reheating Furnace upto 50 Tonneshr. capacity. These furnaces are mostly used in Steel Rolling Mills. The salient features are: 1. Low fuel consumption of 0.3 x 106 K.Caltonne. 2. Burning losses are minimum ( less than 1% ). 3. These furnaces are either oil fired or gas fired. 4. Continuous availability of stock at the rated capacity. 5. Capable of heating billetsingots upto 200 mm sq. for top firing and upto 300 mm sq. for top and bottom firing furnaces.

ENCON Rotary Furnaces are manufactured for different types of applications, such as Aluminium Melting, Cast Iron Melting and Heat Treatment of Grinding media balls. The Salient features are:- 1. Low Fuel Consumption. 2. Long Refractory Lining Life. 3. Reduced Initial Heating Time. 4. Gives more number of batches per shift. 5. Fitted with Encon Recuperator for Waste Heat Recovery.

ENCON has manufactured and supplied Bogie Hearth Furnaces for different applications, such as Stress Relieving, Normalising, Hardening and other similar applications for steel casting plants, steel fabrication units etc. These furnaces are fitted with Encon Recuperator for waste heat recovery, thus the fuel consumption becomes minimum. ENCON Bogie Hearth Furnaces are rigid in construction and have long refractory life. The temperapture uniformity is guaranteed over the full volume of the furnace within the range of ± 10 Deg.C.

These furnaces are for Heat Treatment application such as Annealing, Hardening and Tempering etc. for Steel Products as well as for Solution Treatment and Homogenising of Aluminium Products etc. These are available upto 1000 KW of heating load. Besides the above, electrically heated ovens for Drying, Baking of Electrical items such as Traction Generators Motors etc. are supplied to meet the customers requirement.

We offer Iip-encon Film Burners. The basic function of an oil burner is to produce and maintain required and consistent degree of atomisation to ensure stable flame conditions and required heat distribution in the furnace. Presently there are a large number of oil burners with different designs and types and selection has to be made to suit divergent requirements of industrial furnaces. As a consequence of survey carried out by different national agencies viz IOC, NPC, DGTD, it was observed that nearly 70% of Industrial Units use low air pressure atomising type burners. In view of the inherent limitations in the Lap Burners available in the market using almost 25-30% of excess air for proper atomisation and combustion, it was felt that there was considerable scope for improving the performance of existing Lap Burners by use of lower levels of excess air & wider turn down ratio. Thus an improved version was developed by IIP in association with PCRA after several years of sustained R & D work. These improved low excess air film burners developed by the above agencies give a fuel saving of 10-15% by using extra excess air below 10%.

We offer Encon Fuel Combustors (blower). ENCON Centrifugal Steel Plate Air Blower is designed to give optimum CFM volume and pressure of air with low power consumption. Although originally they are designed to supply air to Combustion systems, they can be used on any application requiring low pressure air. Each impeller is dynamically balanced before assembly. All blowers are equipped with TEFC, squirrel cage, Induction motors of reputed make such as NGEF, ABB, Crompton etc. Options of direct driveshaft driven through "V" Belts. Individual units undergo rigorous testing prior to shipment.

We have developed a semi-automatic grinding machine for dressing of alloy steel billetsingotsslabs before rolling operation. The machine has a very high productivity and also the grinding loss is not more than 2-3%. It increases productivity, reduces the material loss and also reduces the labour requirement in addition to improving working conditions for operators. We have supplied 8 such machines to number of reputed customers in India including Ms Jindal Strips Ltd, Hissar and Ms Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd., Hyderabad.

In a typical heating application of ladles in steel plants ENCON film burners can save as much as 50-60% of fuel. The ladle heating time has been reduced substantially and a specific fuel consumption of about 3-3.5 liters per tonne of ladle capacity has been achieved.
