Double busbar panel is having two main busbar systems, separately for each power source like state power or captive power. Normally in double busbar scheme each circuit is connected to both the buses. In some cases half of the load can be connected and operated on each busbar, in these cases bus or circuit breaker failure would cause loss to half of the section. In double busbar arrangement two breakers are provided for each circuit to ensure the supply of power if any of sources fails.
