It is effective in neutralizing acid gases when they enter a mud downhole. Addition of Caustic Soda range from 0.1 ppb for low pH, low solids muds to as much as 3.0 ppb for Addition of Caustic Soda range from 0.1 ppb for low pH, low solids muds to as much as 3.0 ppb for high pH muds.
