The term is an extension of GI which is a traditional abbreviation for Galvanised Iron. Today the term GI typically refers to essentially pure zinc (>99%) continuously hot dip coated steel, as opposed to batch dip processes. PPGI refers to factory pre-painted zinc coated steel, where the steel is painted before forming, as opposed to post painting which occurs after forming. Strength is 240MPA, 120gsm galvanized and coating of 25 micron RMP-220 on exposed surface including primer and 7-10 micron epoxy coating on un-exposed surface including primer.

Corrugated sheets give you several advantages over the other types of steel: Twisting operation is not involved in the production of the Corrugated sheets, so no residual stresses involved in that, which in turn increases the corrosion resistance. Corrugated Sheet is rampantly used for roofing purpose. Some types of heavy corrugated iron are also used as a sub-flooring when pouring concrete. It is available in specifications of 20 mm to 1 mm. The sheets consist of ridges and valleys to give the iron, the strength against bending. Corrugations allow the floor to be structurally sound as the iron provides resistance to bending and collapses under the weight of the concrete. This product resists rust and can be used for harsh climate.
