The raw material used in our Ammonia Gas Cracker is ammonia gas which is easily available in cylinders. Moreover, these fully automatic, easy to operate machines virtually requires no maintenance. Owing to its compact construction, it can be installed very close to PSA Nitrogen generating equipment. Ammonia Cracking Units or Ammonia Cracker Gas Generator produces mixture of Hydrogen and Nitrogen which is used in Heat treatment furnaces. Ammonia cracking takes place on Nickel catalyst at 850°C temperature. Around 100-ppm uncracked ammonia is also present in cracked gas. Its dew point is (-) 30°C. AMMONIA CRACKING UNITS / AMMONIA CRACKERS Ammonia Cracking Units or Ammonia Crackers are fully automatic, easily operational and virtually require negligible maintenance. In addition they have a compact body and can be installed very close to PSA Nitrogen generation equipment. The cost of Hydrogen generation by this method comes to around Rs. 4.00 per Cubic Meter only. Ammonia Crackers are very simple units. They are widely used in industries for small generation of Hydrogen gas. Ammonia Cracking Units are electrically heated units which consume around 1.4KW power per Cubic Meter of Hydrogen. Raw material for these units is Ammonia gas which is easily available in cylinders. Standard 60kgs capacity cylinders are available in the market. When Ammonia gas is passed over Nickel catalyst in these units, it cracks to N2 + H2 mixture containing 75% Hydrogen. This mixture is used as Deoxo Purification Unit for Oxygen removal. FOR GETTING PURE HYDROGEN If pure Hydrogen gas of 99.99% purity is required, we provide a PSA Molecular sieves unit after these Ammonia crackers which remove Nitrogen. This PSA unit operates at 7kg/cm²g pressure and produces pure Hydrogen gas at 5.5kg/cm² pressure. This type of Ammonia based hydrogen generator is very economical in initial investment upto 50 Nm³/hr Hydrogen capacity. MOLECULAR SIEVES PURIFIER For reducing residual ammonia content and to get very dry gas, a molecular sieves purifier is provided after ammonia cracking units. This reduces ammonia down to 1-ppm level and dries gas upto (-) 80°C dew point.

PSA Nitrogen Gas Plant is the simplest to produce nitrogen of a purity in range from 99% to 99.99% purity. However, if carbon molecular sieves quantity is increased, even 99.9999% purity nitrogen can be produced from this model.
