Washers made from our own Heat Resisting and Moulding Micanites are used in electro-magnets, micro-sensitive control gear and for many other purposes. They are either cut or die stamped from the sheet material according to the buyer’s specification.  

"SYNDANIO SHEETS", is a high grade arc and heat resisting material produced from specially selected and prepared asbestos fiber and cement formed into boards under high pressure.These sheets are available in 4ft x 3.5ft (1200 x 1070mm). A fully equipped machine shop is available for the supply of cut and drilled sheets and fully machined parts to individual requirements.

Mica is most suited for use in thermionic valve bridges, cathode ray tube assemblies, condenser plates, domestic elements, stove plates and washers built up to any thickness. In almost all these applications, mica is die-punched and used as such, or with a coating.

This product is prepared by pasting Muscovite splittings with an alkyd varnish as a binder in a little amount and processing at a very high temperature and high pressure and then grinded .

Mica Paper board is a reconstituted muscovite mica paper, which impregnated, bonded with heat resisting silicone resin. Mica Paper are pressed under heat and high pressure to form rigid sheets. Mica paper Board has good mechanical, electrical and thermal properties. It is hard and rigid, silver- brownish color. Mica Board withstand to 500°C continuous operating temperature. It occurs low smoke on initial heat first time. Applications are base and covers plates for elements for Toasters, Hair dryers, air heater, Electric Irons as well as many domestic appliances heating elements and are also used in Industrial applications. The idea is to keep the metal conductors from fusing in order to prevent a short circuit so that the cables remain operational during a fire, which can be important for applications such as emergency lighting. Mica discs provides the best protection to spherical view port glasses and perfect visibility for checking the degree of combustion and liquid level in high pressure steam boilers. Mica films are used in the manufacture of silver mica plates used in mica capacitors. Small cut-mica sheets are effectively used as backing plate on both top and bottom sides of mica capacitors to give mechanical potency and inflexibility. Heat Resisting Micanite is made from high quality Mica Splitting with the Shellac bond being kept low. The material is made available from both Muscovite and Phlogophite Mica where the maximum working temperature is approximately 500° C and 800° C respectively.
