Kineco has developed this innovative and unique under-carriage product for storing water in passenger train coaches. This was done in association with Advanced Composites Program (TIFAC), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India and IIT, Bombay. This product won the prestigious JEC Award for Excellence in Innovation in 2008. This light weight underslung water tank is made using state-of-the-art CNC filament winding technology in single piece using glass-polyester construction. The water tank is provided with a thermoplastic liner and a PP protective shield for ballast hits. Tank mounting brackets are made with stainless steel

Kineco developed composite sky bus coaches for the 'Sky Bus Metro' project of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (a Government of India undertaking). Kineco did the turn-key job of concept design and engineering design, design validation, tooling and prototyping. This unique mass transit system is based on an elevated set of tracks with electrically propelled twin cars that move above the city roadways. Being a suspended coach mass transit system, light weight was a pre-requisite and hence the selection of glass fibre composites as material of construction. Developmental project was supported by Advanced Composites Program (TIFAC), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India while IIT, Bombay played the role of technology partner.

Kineco is mass manufacturing and supplying hard seating system for sub-urban or metro trains. Seats are made using glass fibre composites or polycarbonate material with metallic support structure. Seats are made using polyester / phenolic resin systems or polycarbonate material complying with various national / international fire standards for stringent requirements of flammability, smoke and toxicity (FST). GRP seat parts are made using RTM, VARTM, resin infusion, or conventional hand lay-up process capabilities while polycarbonate seats are made using thermoforming process. GRP seats can be supplied using specially printed surface veil which gives surface finish to tailor made designs or in painted finish.

Kineco is mass manufacturing and supplying composite modular toilets for railway passenger coaches. Toilet modules are supplied in gel-coated or painted finish with necessary accessories and fittings. GRP parts of the module are made using polyester / phenolic resin systems complying with various national / international fire standards for stringent requirements of flammability, smoke and toxicity (FST). GRP parts are made using RTM, VARTM, resin infusion or conventional hand lay-up process capabilities. Our toilet cabins can be integrated with electronic controls & may be supplied with control discharge/vacuum system or biological toilets so as to provide plug & play features to our customers.

Kineco is mass manufacturing and supplying different types of driver's consoles for train applications. Kineco has experience in supplying these driver’s consoles for EMU, DEMU, MEMU trains and Locomotives. Driver's desks are made using polyester / phenolic resin systems complying with various national / international fire standards for stringent requirements of flammability, smoke and toxicity (FST). GRP parts of driver’s desks are made using RTM, VARTM, resin infusion or conventional hand lay-up process capabilities.
