BASIC PRINCIPLE : Oxygen and nitrogen are generated simultaneously when an air separation plant taps atmospheric air though low pressure cryogenic distillation process. The design of the plant is based on the advanced low pressure technology process of Mandressi Italia using rotary screw compressor and turbo expanders. The atmospheric air enters the Molecular Sieve Purification System which removes the moisture and Co2 from the processed air. The air is liquefied with the help of cryogenic cooling using latest plate and fin high efficiency heat exchangers and turbo expanders. The air gets separated into oxygen and liquid nitrogen in the air separation column. The final product is either stored into cylinders at the required pressure or routed into pipeline for application. Note: Due to the latest liquid oxygen pump technology, there is now no need of old type of bulky oxygen compressors, no more break downs, moisture or rusting in cylinders. SCOPE AND SUPPLY : Air Compressor : Our air compressors are supplied as per buyers’ choice. All equipments are mounted on processed skid complete with gas/air/water lines for high purification of air. It is comprised of the following: After cooler with tank Nitrogen cooler with tank Moisture separator Chilling unit with freon unit Oil absorber Molecular sieve Defrost heater Manifold Air Separation Column (Cold Box): Air separation column-cold box consists of outer steel casing, main heat exchanger, liquifier, bottom column, top column, condensor, sub-cooler, liquid oxygen & nitrogen filter. Cooling pipe line, insulation material, digital electronic temperature indicator & scanner, pt 100 sensor, dp gauge monometer, expansion valve with long stem type with pointer & index & wheel. Expansion Engine : Complete with Motor/starter/starter shall be Siemens/ABB/Kirloskar, with hydraulic valve control bursting disc for safety, complete with Flywheel pressure gauge, Motor pulley V-Belts,Belt Guard slide rails interconnecting copper pipes (Inlet & Outlet) Liquid Oxygen Pump : Liquid Oxygen passes from the condenser to the liquid oxygen pump for filling gas into cylinders. The cylinder filling is done through the integrated liquid oxygen pump (Connected to cold box) which is designed to fill oxygen gas into cylinders at high pressure of 155-200 bar. Cylinder Filling Manifold : The CYLINDER FILLING MANIFOLD system provided with the oxygen cylinder filling plant is made to sustain high pressure at 155- 200 bar continuously.

After completing the process, it sends the compressed air to the pre-cooling unit, where the temperature of air is reduced to 12 deg C. Pre Cooling System : The pre-cooling unit performs by cooling the compressed air around temperature 12 deg C before it enters the purifier. Purification of Air by Purifier: In the purification unit, the impurities, including carbon di-oxide & moisture, of the cooled air get eliminated. Once the air become pure, it sent to the air separation unit. Cryogenic Cooling of Air by Expander : The air has to be cooled to sub zero temperatures for liquification & the cryogenic refrigeration & the cooling is provided by highly efficient turbo expander, which cools the air to temperature almost below -165 to-170 deg C. Separation If Liquid Air into Oxygen and Nitrogen by Air Separation Column : The oil free, moisture free and carbon dioxide free air get separated into oxygen and nitrogen by the process of rectification. The oxygen purity is upto 99.7% and nitrogen upto 99.99% respectively. Cylinder filling manifold : The last stage is cylinder filling manifold, where the final output in the gas and liquid form gets filed in the cylinders and tanks.
