Light Commercial Interior Door Closer Although the 121 is small in size, it has a very efficient mechanism, giving it a powerful performance. It has been designed for use on residential or light commercial interior hollow core wooden doors i.e. electrical cupboards, storeroom and office doors. The 121 is not recommended for use on exterior door applications.The 121 is available as either a strength 3 or 4 closer to suit the most popular range of door sizes. Door closing is hydraulically controlled, with regulators to give the desired speed of closing. The 121 has a precision rack and pinion mechanism, with hydraulic back check and is easily mounted to the surface of door or the top jamb.Finish: Sprayed SilverRegulating Controls: The 121 has independent regulators to control: Closing speed - adjustment to control closing swing of door, from approximately 180° to 15°.Latch speed – separate adjustment to accelerate or decelerate the door from 15° to 0° to either overcome stubborn latch bolts, or cushion the door into the frame.Material: The 121 is constructed with high quality components, with a pressure die cast aluminium body, and a steel rack and pinion.Mounting Configuration: The 121 is able to be mounted in three configurations, regular, top jamb and parallel arm mounting. Fixing packs are included for both timber and metal doors. A parallel arm bracket is included as standard for all 121 closers.Fixing position for all applications allow the door to open to 180°, subject to the use of correct hinges. Standard closer offers 3 installation options – Regular, Top Jamb and Parallel Arm. Independent adjustment valves for adjusting Backcheck, Closing and Latching speeds. Adjustable backcheck prevents damage to the closer, door and frame. Non-handed designer metal cover. All adjustment valves are concealed behind the cover to prevent tampering. Joints in arms and shoe brackets adapt to uneven mounting surfaces. The 1461 closer uses Liquid X hydraulic fluid which provides a constant viscosity from 49°C to –35°C, which allows the closer to perform consistently under almost all weather conditions, thereby eliminating the need to seasonally adjust the closing speed to maintain proper door control. Closers installed according to installation instructions require no periodic maintenance or adjustments. Just set and forget. Stick-on template for fast, accurate installation. Cuts installation time in half. Closer Cylinder constructed of high strength cast iron for increased durability.
