Road Binder
Road Binder is a unique water dispersion of vinylic resins supplied as a viscous liquid. It is diluted into water carts and sprayed onto or blended into roads, airstrips and hardstand areas etc where watering programs cannot be implemented to control dust emissions. Physically binds particles together and stabilises road materials Forms a mechanically high resistant and elastic coating Eliminates continual watering programs Benefits One treatment controls road dust up to 3 months After treatment no further watering is required Physically ‘binds’ the road material together Does not require special application equipment Improves the road running surface, reducing maintenance Non-hazardous and eco-friendly Application - Surface For a topical treatment, ROAD BINDER is dosed at 250ml per m2 per pass. It is recommended that two passes be conducted. The first pass is diluted at 1:6 applied at 1.75L per m2. The second pass diluted at 1:4 in water applied at 1.25L per m2. Dosage/applications recommended are dependant on the traffic volumes, type of vehicles and duration of dust suppression requirements. Application – Blended Dose 250ml of ROAD BINDER concentrate per m2 and dilute into compaction water at 1:6 applied at 1.75L per m2 up to a depth of 150mm, then blend and compact. Heavy Water Dynamic Dust Suppressant
Heavy Water Dynamic (HWD) - Has been developed by RST as a multi-purpose micro polymer additive for water carts and spray system – when applied on unsealed ground maximises water penetration and binds all fien particles to greatly improve dust control.Why use heavy water dynamic? Quick results achieved with our super concentrated formula Efficient use of water when combined with heavy water dynamic Adjustable application rate to suit different purposes Environmentally Safe Application HWD has been developed by RST as a dust suppressant, wate extender, compaction aid and veneering agent all in one. Simply adjust the application rate to achieve the required results for each different application. It is as simple as dosing HWD at 1:10,000 into the water cart or spray system and adjusting the volume of the solution applied for each application. Key Benefits Reduce watering frequency by approx. 50% Greatly reduce dust using 50% less water Compact unsealted road surfaces with regular applications with considerabley less water Seals open source emissions and stockpiles Minimise sediment loss from open areas and roads into water storage, creeks, etc. Reduces water evaporation Applications Heavy Water Dynamic (HWD) is dosed into the water cart at a rate of 1:10,000. The inclusion of a Teksmart Dose Buddy pump which is specially designed to not shear the polymer an inject the correct application dosage into each water cart based on a pre-determined daily allowance. The diluted solution is simply applied as part of the standard watering plan and results are achieved quickly. A HWD solution applied at a heavier application rate on open source emissions such as stockpiles and all open ground that is Non Trafficked will form a crust. HWD then seals the material to stop dust lift off and sediment loss for a considerable amount of time.
