WASHERS are disks of rubber placed beneath a nut, an axle bearing, or a joint, to relieve friction, prevents leakage, isolate, prevent loosening or distribute pressure. There are many different types of washers and washer type products for a variety of applications. Common types include Flat Washers, Beveled, C-Washers, D-shaped Washers, Sealing Washers, Spherical Washers, Square Washers & Shoulder Washers. Flat Washers are thin, flat, and circular general-purpose washers, with a centrally located hole. Beveled Washers have a tapered bearing surface. C-Washers have a slot cut from the center to the perimeter. D-shape Washers have a flat edge cut away on the parameter. Sealing Washers seal around a bolt or fastener. Spherical Washers have a cross-section in the form of a half or partial sphere. Square Washers can have a rectangle shaped inside or outside profile. Shoulder Washers have a sleeve with the same inner diameter as washer hole.     Washers can be specified in ANSI nominal sizes or ANSI metric sizes. Important size dimensions to consider when specifying washers include Inside Diameter, Outside Diameter, Thickness or working Height, and rated or working load. Materials of construction include Aflas®, VITON, SILICON,HYPALON, EPDM, TPR, NBR, NEOPRENE, PTFE, PU, SBR &NATURAL.The hardness rating on a Shore A scale for Washers can be 30 ~ 95 Durometer. Exact specifications should be clarified by our engineers, as chemical and physical properties of Washers can differ based on manufacturing technique.

Rubber ring for shafts requiring a dynamic seal (primary or back-up) in the axial direction. The body of V seals rotate with the shaft and holds itself in position by its elastic fit on the shaft. Sealing is produced by the contact between the lip and the counterface. Additionally, the V Series seal has good sealing action when the shaft is eccentric andor there is some misalignment. Combined with radial shaft seals, these axial face seal designs provide excellent excluding characteristics against all types of liquids, greases, oils, dirt, snad and other foreign materials.V-Rings are available in both Buna ‘N’ and Viton .

SEALS are used to create a barrier between a rotating and a stationary surface. They function to retain or separate lubricants or fluids, keep out contamination, and contain pressure. V-Ring seals are all rubber seals used primarily to exclude dirt and other contaminants. Wipers are flexible lip exclusion seals. They are used to wipe contaminants from a shaft. Scraper exclusion seals have a scraping edge that maintains contact with the rod regardless of any rod deflection or motion. Hydraulic seals and pneumatic seals are designed for the reciprocating motion that is common in hydraulic and pneumatic applications, such as cylinders. Rod seals & Piston seals are radial seals. The seal is fit onto a shaft with the sealing lip contacting the housing bore. Double acting or bi-directional seals are effective when sealing in both directions.     Important dimensions to consider when specifying seals include shaft Outer Diameter or seal Inner Diameter, housing bore Diameter or seal Outer Diameter, axial cross section or Thickness, and radial cross section. Important service limits parameters to consider include maximum operating speed, maximum operating pressure, vacuum rating, operating temperature and any fluids with which they may come in contact. Rubber sealing element or lip material choices for seals include Aflas®, VITON, SILICON, HYPALON, EPDM, TPR, NBR, NEOPRENE, PTFE, PU, SBR& NATURAL. The hardness rating on a Shore A scale for Seals can be 30 ~ 95 Durometer. Exact specifications should be clarified by our engineers, as chemical and physical properties of Seals can differ based on manufacturing technique.

GROMMETS are used for protection of a wire, tube, or various other objects from abrasion when they are passed through metal, plastic, or any material that could damage the outside surface of the item while being installed, or when in use. Additional applications include electrical insulation, noise reduction, vibration isolation and protection from forces generated in compression. There are different types of grommets for a variety of applications. Common types include Insulation Grommets, Vibration Mount Grommets, Long Neck Grommets, Multi Hole Grommets, Blind Grommets, Oval Grommets, Horse Shoe Grommets, Tapered Grommets.   Important size dimensions to consider when specifying grommets include inside diameter, outside diameter, thickness or working height, groove thickness and groove depth. Materials of construction include Aflas®, VITON, SILICON, HYPALON, EPDM, TPR, NBR, NEOPRENE, PTFE,PU, SBR & NATURAL. The hardness rating on a Shore A scale for Grommets can be 30 ~ 85 Durometer. Exact specifications should be clarified by our engineers, as chemical and physical properties of Grommets can differ based on manufacturing technique.

  • O-Rings

    O-Rings

    Request for Price

O-RINGS are solid-rubber, doughnut shaped seals. When pressed between two mating surfaces, O-rings block the passage of liquids or gases. O-rings can form a static or dynamic seals. A static seal is where the O-ring does not move and is used simply for containing pressure or maintaining a vacuum. Dynamic seals can be reciprocating (like a piston and cylinder), or rotating (shaft rotating in a housing). Axial squeeze and radial squeeze are two methods for applying an O-ring. An axial squeeze is when the ring is compressed parallel to a line drawn through the centre or axis of the ring. In a radial squeeze the ring is compressed between the internal diameter (ID) and overall Diameter (OD).     O-rings are typically available in standard sizes as per industry standards. These include "AS568" standard sizes (001-475), British Standard Metric Sizes, JIS Standard Sizes, JASO Standard Sizes, AS871, and custom. When custom o-rings are required, the width or Thickness, Insider Diameter, and Outside Diameter are important to consider. Common materials of construction for o-rings include Aflas®, VITON, SILICON, HYPALON, EPDM, TPR,NBR, NEOPRENE, PTFE, PU, SBR & NATURAL. The hardness rating on a Shore A scale for O-rings can be 30 ~ 95 Durometer. Exact specifications should be clarified by our engineers, as chemical and physical properties of an O-ring can differ based on manufacturing technique.

GASKETS are used to prevent fluid or gas leaks by providing a barrier between two mating surfaces. The gasket must be able to maintain a seal under pressure and temperature changes. Some gaskets can also be used to shield against electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.     Common types of gaskets include sheet die-cut & molded. In a sheet die cut gasket the gasket material is a flat sheet that can be cut prior to assembly or is already die-cut from flat gasket material. Important specifications to consider when searching for gaskets include maximum operating pressure & operating temperature. Important size dimensions to consider when specifying washers include inside diameter, outside diameter, thickness or working height, and rated or working load. Common materials of construction for gaskets include Aflas®, VITON,SILICON, HYPALON, EPDM, TPR, NBR, NEOPRENE, PTFE, PU, SBR & NATURAL. The hardness rating on a Shore A scale for Gaskets can be 30 ~ 95 Durometer.
