...moreIron Ore Fines, Lumps and Pellets
Iron ore comes in the form of rocks and minerals from which Iron (Fe) can be economically recovered. It is the primary raw material in the production of pig iron and subsequently steel. Iron ore is typically classified as High grade (+65% Fe), Medium grade (+62 – 65% Fe) and Low grade (-62% Fe).Typically, the Integrated Steel Plants(ISPs) use medium/High grade Iron Ore whereas the Sponge Iron plants require only High Grade iron ore, preferably, with +67% Fe. Iron Ore is traded in lumps (i.e. sized ore), fines and pellets. Production/availability of lumps is limited by virtue of the natural occurrence and also because of generation of lot of fines during crushing of large lumps present in the run-of -mines. Pellets are normally produced in the form of Globules from very fine iron ore (normally –100 mesh). Raw iron ore can be transformed into "pellets" in a process that combines agglomeration and thermal treatment. The objective is to give the ore specific sizing and hardness properties that will be maintained during its transportation and use as feed in a blast furnace or Direct Reduction plant. Adding iron ore trading to our existing capabilities shall allow us to grow our volumes rapidly. Because of our closer study of the Value Chain, we know exactly where we can create Synergy and add value. The promoters are very well experienced and have vast knowledge of Steel Industry and are well conversant with the consumption of various types of Iron ore in Steel Sector. The company has set its links & expanded its dimension in exporting the various grades Iron ore to the Asian countries mainly China, Japan and South Korea. We aim to source from big mines in Brazil, Australia and India to cater to same. The price of iron ore products is based principally on their iron content and shipping cost. Since it is break bulk commodity, our strong hold in shipping & logistics will definitely prove beneficial for us.

...moreCoal
Coal plays a central role in supporting global economic development, alleviating poverty by providing employment in coal mines and is an essential resource to meeting the world's energy needs i.e electricity generation. Coal is also a key component of important industrial processes such as steel and cement manufacturing - both of which are central to building the essential infrastructure of growing economies. The Following Parameters are most important for Coal Classification : Net Calorific Value (NCV) and Gross Calorific Value (GCV) Moisture (Total TM or Inherent IM) Ash (A) und Ash Fusibility (AFT) Volatiles (V) Sulphur (S) Fixed Carbon (C) Minerals (e.g. Chlorine, Fluorine) Other parameters, such as granulation size, grindability (HGI), coking ability (FSI). Different types of coal have different uses: Steam/ Thermal coal is mainly used in power generation. Metallurgical coal - is mainly used in steel production. 70% of the steel produced today uses coal. The dynamics of coal trading are changing. Commoditised, liquid markets are supplanting the traditional, fixed-price regime. In recent years, the coal market has become increasingly liberalised, with new grades of coal and pre-financing instruments creating a more sophisticated environment . We are developing our Coal Trading Desk and aim to cover a wide range of specific origins for both steam coal and metallurgical coal. We aim to build our presence in every major mining region and wish to successfully meet the diverse needs of customers around the world. We are in the process of signing long term contracts with producers in Indonesia, Australia, Russia etc. We aim to supply the Asia Pacific region like China, Japan, S. Korea and India. Geography matters in this industry. Coal is a low-value, bulk product. Freight is a major cost component. We aim to use our global presence to optimise the supply chain.
...moreBulk Steel-making Raw Materials
The company from time to time is also involved in Liasoning and Under-writing of major Steel-making Bulk Products for its strong markets and regular clients in other areas of the Steel Value Chain. Our product offering includes the follows:- Hot Briquetted Iron Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) is a premium form of Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) that has been compacted at a temperature greater than 650° C and has a density greater than 5000 kilograms per cubic meter (5000 kg/m3). HBI is a premium quality, high density steel industry raw material containing 90-94% total iron (Fe), used in electric arc furnaces (EAF) and basic oxygen furnaces (BOF), blast furnaces (BF) and foundry applications. Designed for ease of shipping, handling, and storage, it is used in steel-making as a substitute for higher priced scrap metal. Because of its high iron content and low residual levels, HBI can be used in almost every type of steelmaking operation. It also has advantages over steel scrap due to its high bulk density and the very low content of undesirable chemical elements. DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) or Sponge Iron Pellets Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) is a metallic material produced from direct reduction-oxidation of iron ore using a reducing gas (a chemical transformation process that removes Oxygen and Carbon without reaching the melting point of iron). It usually contains between 90 and 94% total iron and low amounts of residuals. It is used in the production of steel, primarily in electric arc furnace mini-mills to increase their efficiency, among other advantages, by diluting the impurities contained in the scrap metal used in this process. Pig Iron Merchant pig iron comprises three main types: Basic Pig Iron, used mainly in electric arc steelmaking, Haematite Pig Iron [also known as Foundry Pig Iron], used in mainly in the manufacture of grey iron castings in cupola furnaces, and Nodular Pig Iron, used in the manufacture of ductile [also known as nodular or spheroidal graphite - SG] iron castings. We can deliver pig iron in virtually any specialty composition as requested by the customer. We trade in basic pig iron for steelmaking, as well as foundry and ductile pig iron for the castings industry. Most of our supply is from Brazil, which is the largest exporter of pig iron worldwide
