More than 80 percent of the country's cumin is grown in Sanchore region of Rajasthan after Gujarat. About 28 percent of the country's total cumin production is produced in Rajasthan. 80 percent of the total cumin in the state is produced in the western region of the state. However, if we look at its average yield, its yield in the state is 380 kg per hectare. Whereas in the neighboring state Gujarat the production is 550 kg per hectare.
