Sri Triveni Crafts is a manufacturer of “Water Mist & CAF Based Fire Extinguishers” of High Pressure & Low Pressure Design. Water Mist Based firefighting system utilizes very fine water spray to extinguish fire. Water is recognized as an outstanding physically acting firefighting agent with exceptionally high heat absorbing capacity and latent heat of vaporization. Water droplets with size of 1 to less than 1000 micron are referred to as mist. The water mist when used in firefighting systems creates a blanket thus making the atmosphere inert around the fire. This results in effective and rapid fire extinguishing. The compressed air foam (CAF) used along with water mist further enhances the fire extinguishing power.   High Pressure Design:   It operates at 34 Bar working pressure, only one airline with air performing the roles of propellant and creating mist in one stage itself, it uses min 2L 200 Bar Air Cylinder. Pressure Vessel is made up of Aluminum Alloy.   Low Pressure Design:   It operates at below 15 Bar working pressure, it uses two separate lines i.e. one is for air from the air cylinder to the pressure vessel acts as a propellant while air from the second airline directly to the gun atomize water to create water mist. It uses min 4.7L 300 Bar Air Cylinder. Pressure Vessel is made up of Stainless Steel. Pressure vessels hold the media with safety valve, a compressed air cylinder coupled with a reducer, hose pipes for discharge of water mist media and extinguishing gun are the main components in the configurations. The system uses a mixture of water and aqueous film foaming foam (AFFF UL Approved) as media. Compressed air is used as propellant for the media through nozzle at atomization chamber.
