The conductors used can be pre-insulated with Kapton, Nomex, Fibreglass, Mica, etc. The processes used for manufacture of these coils are looping, automatic stretching and shaping, taping (using fibre glass or resin rich tapes with curing) and final electrical testing like hi-pot, resistance and surge comparison tests.
