Thermoscope Heat Rings
Nimra heat ring is a ceramic device that registers the total amount of heat absorbed by it. It gives a fair representation of the real heating process taking place in a kiln at the location of the ring; thereby enabling the process operators optimize their furnace operations. A number of these rings if placed at different location within a kiln would account of both radiated and absorbed heat, as well as the effects of temperature over time. This is essential to optimize productivity and maintain process consistency.Nimra Heat Rings can be used in both batch and continuous kilns & furnaces with a range of atmospheres including oxygen, nitrogen, air and vacuum covering a wide temperature range from 960°C to 1450°
...moreThermoscope Bars
Thermoscope bars are uniform rectangular bars made from selective compositions, calibrated to bend at different temperatures. Each bar is unique in that it measures temperature at a specific temperature and hence they are numbered. Similar to heat rings, Thermoscope bars too, measure the amount of heat work and are useful to monitor kiln performance. As the bar nears its maturing temperature, it softens and begins to bend at the center. These products change with heat work in a manner analogous to the fired product; and hence are good indicators of the amount of heat available to properly mature (sinter) the fired product. Thermoscope bars are therefore considered more effective indicators of a completed firing cycle than a pyrometer as they depend on the combination of time and temperature, rather than temperature alone.
...moreglass metal seals
NIMRA has developed glass ceramic seals for high performance application that are beyond the capabilities of traditional glass to metal seals. This glass partially crystallizes during the sealing process to form a reinforced glass / ceramic, which can withstand temperatures up to 900 °C. Some application examples of glass to metal seals and ceramic glass seals are as follows: Semi conductor engineering - (transistors, diodes, power rectifiers and thyristors) Vacuum-tight capacitors for use in the tropics and at high altitude Hermetically encapsulated relays and circuit elements Pressurized transformers, motors and switches. Construction of power tubes Air-tight encapsulated compressors for refrigerators Measuring instruments Vacuum engineering Vacuum-tight and pressure-resistant window sealing Glass-metal sealed penetrations for control, measuring and power lines in reactor construction.
...moreceramic cones
Ceramic cones are slender pyramids made from selective compositions, calibrated to bend at different temperatures. Each cone is unique in that it measures temperature at a specific temperature and hence they are numbered. Similar to heat rings, Pyrometric cones too, measure the amount of heat work and are useful to monitor kiln performance. As the cone nears its maturing temperature, it softens and the tip begins to bend, drawn down by the influence of gravity. It typically takes about 20 minutes for the cone to bend fully.
...moreceramic components
NIMRA develops and produces ceramic components for high technology applications starting from Research and development of ceramic components to fast high value production. With our extensive engineering background and state of art facility we work closely with design engineers and technical experts to help establish performance criteria and streamline the materials selection process. Once the appropriate material is selected the production department takes up the prototype production based on the requirement. In brief we deliver product on time, no matter how complex the shape is or how stringent the properties are. Nimra has the most advanced manufacturing facility in India and with shortest lead time can produce components in large volume at very economical prices.
...moreAlumina Crucibles
Alumina Crucibles and Furnace Ware are manufactured in different shapes and range of sizes from few milliliters to several liters, these fully dense, fine grain products find use in a range of high temperature applications such as metal processing molten glass, rapid thermal cycling, gemstone purification for jewelry industry etc. Majority of applications require the ceramic to be impervious, porous forms can also be made on order.
