Fluid return from the condenser end to evaporator end is only by gravity assisted flow. Consequently, these thermal siphons have severe limitation on their orientation of working; that is - the evaporator end of the thermal siphon has to be below the level of condenser end for the thermal siphon to work (transfer the heat under load).
