We provide Underslung Cranes that are available in Single Girder and Double Girder Construction. The Underslung Cranes are constructed with a Bridge Girder that is fitted to the end of the lower load operating trucks that carry the runway girder’s flange. This is typically supported from the trusses of the building roof. Our Underslung Cranes come in Hand Operated crane motions and Electrically Operated crane motions. Underslung Cranes are also known as Transfer Cranes as they can be used to transfer loads from one bay to another. Loads are transferred either from crane to crane or by fixed transfer sections with the Underslung Cranes, which cannot be done with EOT cranes.

Areva manufactures Single Girder as well as Double Girder cranes in the Underslung version. Such cranes find applications where the head rooms available are limited or the process requirements cannot allow any other means of supporting the crane except from the roof. Majority of Underslung Overhead cranes are in the capacity range from 250kg to 10MT. However, higher capacity Underslung Cranes can also be manufactured as per the client requirements. Precise control of the up/down motion and/or travel motion can be achieved by fitting Variable Frequency Drives in the panels. Control can be either through a Pendant Push Button station or a Radio Remote Control.

Single Girder Cranes are generally used in production units and warehouses where space maybe a constraint. These overhead or under slung cranes can be fitted across different floor areas according to the need of productivity.
