Veneer Slate is a natural stone veneer material, new to many architects, designers, and installers familiar with historically thicker ceramic or real stone tiles. Sawn surface is a semi-smooth surface. It is achieved by using a gang saw or a circular saw. Saw cut finish has acquired its name owing to the saw cuts that are made on the surface of stone. When the stones are broken free of the cut layer, they are shaped to uniform size. Saw Cut finish offers complimentary accent to other types of stone work. It is generally used for walls, gate entries, patios, landscape design applications, etc.

Slate is a fine-grained, foliated, homogeneous, metamorphic rock. Slate can be made into roofing slates, also called roofing shingles. Slate tiles are often used for interior and exterior flooring or wall cladding. Tiles are installed and set on mortar and grouted along the edges. Sealants are often used on tiles to improve durability and appearance, increase stain resistance, reduce efflorescence, and increase or reduce surface smoothness.

Shot blasting involved blasting of stone surface with small iron balls at high speeds on surface of stone under factory condition, it is used on harder stones which have little effect when finished using sand. Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of sand-size mineral or rock grains. Sandstone comes in many colors but the most common are brown, gray, tan, yellow, red, and white. Producing a finish similar to cleft, sand blasting involves projecting a high-pressure airline coarse-grained grit, onto the top surface of the stone. It is characterized by a textured surface with a matte gloss.

Quartzite is a hard, metamorphic rock which was originally sandstone. Sandstone is converted into quartzite through heating and pressure usually related to tectonic compression within organic belts. Quartzite is strong and durable which makes it lasting building material for construction. Quartzite is resistant to wear and tear, has high abrasion, hardness and resistance to chemical attack. Being harder, consistency in dimensions and quality can be maintained with various finishes. Available in excellent range and finishes (polished, honed, leather, flamed, sand blasted, shot blasted, bush hammered, antique, etc.) with aesthetic appeal knowledgeable architects, aware of its unique qualities, are using it more extensively than ever before.  

Polished surface texture is a reflection of polished crystals that bring out the brilliant colors and grains of natural stones. The shine on stone surface comes from polishing bricks and powders used during fabrication and not from any coating. Polishing can be done only on crystallized stones and doesn't affect the porosity of the stone. Polished finish is quite popular as it enhances the colour and markings of the material. A stone with a polished finish is very smooth and reflective.

Marble is a metamorphic rock resulting from regional or rarely contact metamorphism of sedimentary carbonate rocks, either limestone or dolostone. This metamorphic process causes a complete recrystallization of the original rock into an interlocking mosaic of calcite, aragonite and/or dolomite crystals. The temperatures and pressures necessary to form marble usually destroy any fossils and sedimentary textures present in the original rock. Marble has long been highly valued for its beauty & strength; Marbles are suitable for both interior and exterior applications.  

Limestone is a common sedimentary rock consisting mostly of calcium carbonate, CaCO3, used as a building stone and in the manufacture of lime, carbon dioxide, and cement. Essentially a Dolomite stone possessing oil-resistant properties, Limestone shows high resistance in freezing and thawing conditions.  

It is produced by grinding a surface with high grit material to a uniform specification, without producing a reflective surface. Honed stone colors are not as vibrant as polished stones. A smooth finish with a slight sheen is produced by using a polishing head. This surface is very smooth, but often very porous. Honed finishes, unlike polished finishes are not reflective. Honed finishes are used in interior wall covering. It can also used on the exterior in warm environments, table tops, very light duty residential flooring, novelty items, etc.  

  Granite is an important structural and ornamental stone, and due to its high compressive strength and durability, it is used for massive structural work. Fine-grained granite is employed for ornamental and monumental work as well as for inscription purposes. It is the hardest of structural stones. Its mineral-rich colors, the hardness and density, make it an ideal choice for flooring, counter tops, vanities as well as exterior applications. A broad range of elegant patterns and colors makes granite the most versatile and durable of all stones. It is also the most "maintenance-free" of all stones.  

It is a rough surface that is developed due to the bursting of crystals when the stone is heated. This surface gives an irregular textured finish. The flamed finish is a rough texture used frequently on floor tiles and vertical applications. Color and particulate or vein patterns vary from block to block. The major uses includes - chemistry and fire resistant work surfaces, fireplace facings & inner hearths, etc. where heat is an issue.

Bush hammering is the process of providing dense and grooved surface to the stone by a pounding action that develops a textured surface. The top surface is pneumatically tooled to produce a pitted or grooved surface finish.

Bushing is the process of providing smooth surface to hard surface of stone; it is achieved by use of brushing tool on surface of stone to provide matt and smooth finish. This finish is secondary finish done on natural, sandblasted, shot blasted and flamed stone surfaces. It is generally used for walls, gate entries, patios, landscape design applications, etc.
