Heating can be arranged by direct passage of current or by induction. The Filing Space (5) is formed between the mould (4) and the plungers (3) and can be varied in form and volume. The water cooled brass contacts(1) reduce heat transference to other equipment. The graphite contacts(2) act as conductors for electric current and at the same time exert pressure on the plungers (3). Resistance Heating Through The Plungers : The plungers are in the electric circuit. The temperature over 1000oC it is desirable to heat through the mould to achieve an even flow of current and heat.
