It is a rotating wheel type Semi-Automatic Battery Cutting Machine of standard capacity 2 MThr. Metal Cutting Steel Blades rotating at high speed fitted on base frame structure. Forward movement of batteries against bladecutting wheels is facilitated with Belt Conveyor mounted on long base frame. In order to cut different height batteries these two cutting wheels can be moved simultaneously up & down by Manual Or motorized gear screw arrangement. After cutting the battery, plastic box is emptied manually by separating the Lead bearing material, Terminals, grids & separators etc. Subsequent crushing of Plastic Boxes is done in Plastic crusher and all lead bearing material is fed into charge for further smelting. If the batteries are not drained dry, Sulfuric acid has to be drained out manually before sending it for cutting process.

Orange-red in color, Red Lead forms the prime coat for most of the largest bridges in the world. Red Lead is also used as primer for most of the intricate steel structures of buildings built in the 20th century. Resistant to even salt water, Red Lead was liberally applied to the hulls and decks of millions of ships. Typically, 85% Red Lead (Lead concentration = 85%) was applied to these steel surfaces. Later, Red Lead primers containing as much as 95% to 98% Lead were used.

Our Alloying Plant is capable of producing all kinds of Lead Alloys i.e. Antimonial, Calcium, Selenium, Copper, Tin, Arsenic etc. We have Alloying Kettles of various capacities ranging from 7-30 tones per batch. They are fitted with high efficiency furnace oil burners equipped with preheating arrangements. Emissions control is achieved by a flexible kettle hood venting into a venturi scrubber attached to an ID fan along with a chimneystack arrangement. Emissions are regularly monitored to ascertain that they strictly fall within the allowable limits.

The Lead refining furnace consists of a Refining KettlePot, Shell, Refractory Lining, Exhaust duct, Agitator, Hood & Burner etc. The hood is normally provided with each refining kettle to absorb all the acidic fumes generated during the refining operations and convey it to the filtration system (Bag house, ID Fan & Stack duct and Wet scrubber). The gasfuel burner is normally uses to increase maintain the temperature of the kettle pot to melt the smelted lead ingots and recover the pure Lead after a dedicated refining process. The refining of Lead is a Pyrometallurgical process and removal of impurities present in the Lead bullions segregates after a certain procedure & period which is based on its different element’s significance.

Normally added in the form of Lead oxide at 24-36%, it adds luster, density and brilliance to the glass. The glass is further enhanced by its ability to have decorative patterns cut on it and has the characteristic ring associated with Lead crystal. There is now a substantial market for a cheaper form of Lead ‘semi-crystal’ containing in the region of 14-24% Lead oxide and glasses are usually molded with the decorative pattern rather than hand-cut later.
