Lead Foils are produced according to customers’ requirements based on all common alloys and dimensions.Sound proofing as a layer foil between foam materials. Standard dimensions: 0,3 to 0,35 x 1.000 mm (.012 to .014 x 39.4 inches) in coils from 50 to 500 kg (110 to 1100 lbs)coil, X-ray shielding sector for the reduction of (x-)ray scatter. Standard dimensions: 0,05 to 0,1 mm x 100 600 mm width (.002 to .004 inches x 3.94 23.6 inch width) in coils or sheets.

Pure Lead Ingots are produced from Raw Lead Bullions Remelted Lead Ingots Secondary Lead Ingots Lead Scraps through Pyro Metallurgical process. Our refining process produces Pure Lead Ingots with a purity level of 99.97% to 99.985% by weight. Our Plant is having four Refining Kettles with capacity of 30 MT, 16 MT, 10 MT and 7 MT. Automatic Ingot Casting Machine casts 10 MT ingots per hour and ensures Dross-Free, smooth top surface and uniform weight of each ingot.

It is a rotating wheel type Semi-Automatic Battery Cutting Machine of standard capacity 2 MThr. Metal Cutting Steel Blades rotating at high speed fitted on base frame structure. Forward movement of batteries against bladecutting wheels is facilitated with Belt Conveyor mounted on long base frame. In order to cut different height batteries these two cutting wheels can be moved simultaneously up & down by Manual Or motorized gear screw arrangement. After cutting the battery, plastic box is emptied manually by separating the Lead bearing material, Terminals, grids & separators etc. Subsequent crushing of Plastic Boxes is done in Plastic crusher and all lead bearing material is fed into charge for further smelting. If the batteries are not drained dry, Sulfuric acid has to be drained out manually before sending it for cutting process.

Gravita produces high quality food packaging PET flakes. Up to 750 MT of PET flakes are produced a month. We produce 75% clear and 25% green flakes from the total volumes. 60% of our clients are PET Sheet producers and 40% are fiber and PET strap producers.

Red Lead is a bright red to orange, red powder which is used in making Lead glass and red pigments; paint made with Red Lead is commonly used to protect iron and steel from rusting. Chemically, Red Lead is Lead tetra oxide, Pb3O4, a water-insoluble compound that is prepared by the oxidation of metallic Lead or of litharge (Lead monoxide). The commercial product sometimes contains litharge as an impurity. Red Lead primer is one of the oldest and most commonly used anti-corrosion pigments applied to metal surfaces. Orange-red in color, Red Lead forms the prime coat for most of the largest bridges in the world. Red Lead is also used as primer for most of the intricate steel structures of buildings built in the 20th century. Resistant to even salt water, Red Lead was liberally applied to the hulls and decks of millions of ships. Typically, 85% Red Lead (Lead concentration = 85%) was applied to these steel surfaces. Later, Red Lead primers containing as much as 95% to 98% Lead were used.

Lead plates are used in radiation shielding applications including industrial, nuclear and medical because of its high density and high atomic number. Lead is an effective construction material for shielding from X – rays and Gamma -rays. Lead plate can also be used for mining and refineries, Boat & Yatch industry and also as a sound barrier. The proven design and performance of Gravita lead plates are available in various thicknesses to accommodate a broad range of applications and any customized size lead plate is available upon request.

Our Alloying Plant is capable of producing all kinds of Lead Alloys i.e. Antimonial, Calcium, Selenium, Copper, Tin, Arsenic etc. We have Alloying Kettles of various capacities ranging from 7-30 tones per batch. They are fitted with high efficiency furnace oil burners equipped with preheating arrangements. Emissions control is achieved by a flexible kettle hood venting into a venturi scrubber attached to an ID fan along with a chimneystack arrangement. Emissions are regularly monitored to ascertain that they strictly fall within the allowable limits.

The Lead refining furnace consists of a Refining KettlePot, Shell, Refractory Lining, Exhaust duct, Agitator, Hood & Burner etc. The hood is normally provided with each refining kettle to absorb all the acidic fumes generated during the refining operations and convey it to the filtration system (Bag house, ID Fan & Stack duct and Wet scrubber). The gasfuel burner is normally uses to increase maintain the temperature of the kettle pot to melt the smelted lead ingots and recover the pure Lead after a dedicated refining process. The refining of Lead is a Pyrometallurgical process and removal of impurities present in the Lead bullions segregates after a certain procedure & period which is based on its different element’s significance.

Lead crystal, (also called crystal), is Lead glass that has been hand or machine cut with facets. Lead oxide added to the molten glass gives Lead crystal a much higher index of refraction than normal glass, and consequently much greater “sparkle”.Decorative Lead crystal glass is one of the most attractive forms in which Lead is used. Normally added in the form of Lead oxide at 24-36%, it adds luster, density and brilliance to the glass. The glass is further enhanced by its ability to have decorative patterns cut on it and has the characteristic ring associated with Lead crystal. There is now a substantial market for a cheaper form of Lead ‘semi-crystal’ containing in the region of 14-24% Lead oxide and glasses are usually molded with the decorative pattern rather than hand-cut later.

Lead acid batteries have its self-life ranging from 3 years to five years and after competition of its life; it gets converted into lead acid battery scrap. It is categorized as hazardous scrap and very limited scope for Trans – boundary movement. There are certain set of guidelines to be complied in order to regularize the collection and processing of such hazardous scrap. The recycling process of lead acid battery needs to be environmentally sound processing technology. More than 70% lead produced globally is used for manufacturing of Lead Acid Batteries.
